I think the game hasn't slowed down for him yet, that's why he's been rushing layups and botching simple reads. But even with that he is often the most active player on the floor and ALWAYS can make something happen. It's scary to think of how good he'll be in a few months let alone a few seasons!
Another reason why he botches too many shots at the rim is because he has no left at all. He's going strong right every time, and has to finish on the right side of the rim. Otherwise... he's screwed.
last night fast break he ran was cringe worthy.. he has to make the game easier for himself by giving up the ball or developing a euro
Going to be a great season of development for him. He needs to polish some skills and is going to look great in the second half of this season. I think he's gotten used to coming off the bench in college and in the NBA. He has to start growing out of that sparkplug mindset and into a more consistent and stable force. Most important to me is his 3pt shot and team defense. If he has these two things on, then the rest of his game can be developed gradually. Tari is sure to be a starter in the future of this team. I'm not in any kind of rush, it's happening sooner or later and he'll get plenty of time this season.
Tari was fantastic. There isn't really a good justification for him not getting more minutes. I love our big four. Green, Alpi, Bari, Tari. A great core to build around.
What position fills in with those 5 that you would target in the draft? You're thinking Eason is a starter down the line right?
I'd draft Wemby, Scoot, in that order, like everyone elde. A solid veteran PG as a FA or via trade would make a world of a difference.
Tari has been extremely impressive so far. The concerns about his left hand weakness were completely overblown. Finishing around the rim was a huge strength for him last season, so I expect him to improve on that front. The important point is that his shooting has carried over to the NBA, it wasn't just a fluke improvement at LSU. His defensive activity is incredible and he is a fluid athlete on both ends of the floor. Sky's the limit for him.
