When people ask me what my problems are with college football, this is #1 on the list...for too many people what happens on the field doesn't matter. It's pre-determined subjective figure skating judging. Again, I promise you the coaches care. I promise you the people who pay to travel and go see their team play care. If the SEC was 4-0 right now in bowl play, there'd be a whole host of SEC folks saying, "see!!!?? We told you!"
It's not MY fault the games don't matter. I don't make the people not care. That's just how it is. People usually aren't very interested in consolation games. EVERYBODY gets a medal. Meh. The coach of an 11-1 team quit before a bowl. He didn't care. Players sit out to avoid injury. They don't care. TAMU didn't even bother to go. Nobody cares. Win. Lose. Tie. Don't even show up. Nobody remembers. Nobody cares. Enjoy the games. Entertainment. No conclusions to draw. Fairy dust.
He also alleges that Tech owes him $2.4M in back pay. So I'm sure he wasn't thinking about that game at all.

Always been that way. Alabama gets the benefit of the doubt, and personally I think that is fair, but so does Notre Dame all the time, which is crazy since they haven't proven much in the last 30 years. Tulane is 7-1, while Kansas State is 6-2, with a loss to Tulane an yet KSU is 6 spots higher. It isn't logical. At least for TCU, 5 of the 6 ahead of them play each other, so there are going to be losses for at least 2 of the SEC & 1 Big Ten schools.

Rankings look good for Texas; if we win out we should make the playoff. One of Michigan and Ohio State will lose against the other and Oregon could beat Washington in the Pac-12 championship game (if Washington even makes it that far). Also lol at OU at #9. 2008 me remembers how this feels.
