What is wrong with you? Cade Cunningham has a Fracture Leg and looks like Grant Hill with all his injuries.
People literally overanalyze everything he does - it is hilarious, Green dribbles it off his foot - and nothing but KPJ makes a bad pass off Sengun's ass and Twitter and Clutchfans explode...... Never seen anything like it - the kid is a 22 year old talented baller, who is still developing as a player, if you think this is all he will ever be, than I can see all the angst. I for one, believe he is going to get a lot more efficient in a team with a proper structure and that Silas system is most of the issue...... We aren't winning for at least 3 more years so might as well enjoy some of the circus shots he makes, and laugh at the dumb turnovers....no one is perfect. DD
Well, in any other team, Europe and Asia included, he wouldn't be running the point; that's for sure. Automatic skills upgrade. Does Silass really have a system?.. But, really?? Define "winning". Conference finals? Play-ins? The talent is there. The willingness, the focus, the commitment, the team spirit, the spunk are not. The system is not either, if it ever existed. I would bet my ass on this: if Silass left today, a slightly above average coach that replaced him would at least take us to the play-ins next season.
Exactly. Both plays are just a reckless player throwing up out-of-control prayer shots that in almost all cases will never go in. The ref also bails him out even for being so out-of-control. It's nothing like watching MJ or Kobe double or triple clutch layups going through multiple defenders while being in total control. Watching KPJ do out-of-control "acrobatic" layups makes my eyes bleed.
I'm not a big fan of Porter, but I wouldn't say these are necessarily bad plays. Sometimes, guards have to drive aggressively into the paint and break down the defense. At the very least, it keeps the opposing frontcourt players honest. The problem is that he tends to do this too often, and he often leaves himself with few options. But at the same time, it's good that he remains aggressive.
U need these type of shots in playoffs when defense is tight. A bucket is a bucket. U don't pull these type of risky shots when u are down 10-20 pts.
I believe the Rox management can plainly see KPJ will not be in the intermediate plans for this team. He is a massive liability next to Jalen and one of the most turnover prone PGs to ever play the game. Luckily, as you point out, he’s young and might fetch some value. Having him and Nix on the roster for the short term is goood for now, helps tank the team without asking the players to actually tank.
Having a plan while taking the first step might help. Even taking a peek atound could. Open shooters galore while he's doing his antics.
He has all the tools. He can create his own shot, can create for others (when he wants to), and I trust his 3pt shooting more than Jalen's right now. I like his game but hate how he is being used. Hate when the ball sticks but he is not the only one guilty of it.
I think there's no question that the Rockets need some real coaching. That's one thing I think the entire board can agree with no matter what differences of opinions might exist when it comes to individual player evaluations.
