Who do CF choose as the top QB in this upcoming draft?
Are there any other QB choices Texans should seriously consider with #1?
If yes, post up your opinion.

Bryce Young is QB1 in a soft QB draft.

Trade down to #2 and take Stroud.

Not really sold on any QB in the draft. Young is probably the safest, but I'd bet on Stroud.

Young is the best, but wouldn't take him with #1 pick.

If you not taking Young at 1 then use your scouting time at other positions..

It's gonna be excruciating if we keep the #1 pick and I seriously doubt anyone is gonna want to trade with us.

All depends on team evals on top players and how we play that #1. If we bring in the top 3-4 players and are a bit coy in who we'll take the chance for an offer or two may appear.

You could probably trade back safely to #3 and get CJ.
    Or Young.

I think a team trades up to #2 to take a QB

Very possible. Especially if Texans take Will Anderson.
I'm looking very hard at CJ - I think he will be better than Mills straight out the gate.
Up grade the Texans offense with a decent Center, another weapon to throw to and a 1-2 punch out of the backfield and he will be fine.
Fortunately, Texans have a full checkbook for the first time post Bill O'Brien so bringing in some vet talent should be a thing this off season to go with the draft so Texans should be able to field a much improved team in 2023.

It's a down year for QBs in the draft. The best QB in the long run is probably not one who has had the spotlight on him all year. Young and Stroud are excellent college players, but both have major question marks about how it will translate to the NFL. I'd trade out of #1 to build a "talent fortress" around the team and then look to fill the QB position through free agency, trades, or the 2024 draft.

I wonder if Chicago will draft a QB. Fields is electric but his game doesn't win nor make receivers happy.

Depends on what they think of the prospects and what happens with R1.1
Personally, I think they sit pat with Fields - he is showing signs of growth.

Yeah, just highlights, but he looks to be an upgrade over Mills.
It won't take much to upgrade the offense around him, e.g., better Center, add another weapon to throw to and upgrade the running back corp and he should be okay.
Being a rookie, I won't expect miracles but an improvement should be obvious.

I like CJ a lot more than others. His performance this past weekend puts him in conversation to be one of the top 3 picks.

Would be great if we could trade the first pick for Seattle’s two first round picks and select him. This being Seattle’s pick stays at 3 and the Bears don’t trade out and select Will Anderson or Jalen Carter. Too many ifs though.

Virtually anyone is an upgrade over Mills - anyone being considered in the 1st round should fit that criteria pretty easily. The question for drafting a top pick QB is not "better than Mills?" but "Do we see this guy as our potential top-tier QB for 10-15 years?"

They're like the Texans in that they need a QB but also about 14 other starters, especially on defense.
