Any post or thread where DD enlightens us with his 0 iq or likes something/predicts something turns into absolute dogshit. Starting to think that he's a damn curse on this team like Steve Bartman or that damn goat was for the Chicago Cubs.

I don't want to get rid of anyone I want Green to pan out, but I also don't want his contract to get in the way of paying other players that may help us actually win.

Green is a 4th year PRO player, he needs to be a winning basketball player soon, or the team won't be able to keep him because of his contract situation and will be forced to trade him...and he may blossom elsewhere like Ingram or Lavine etc.

BTW - we are now running offense through Sengun, just as I predicted.....

Patience is always a virtue. Even when it doesn't seem to be, it's merely because you're being impatient.

Green is not a 4th year player, he had a few games in the G-league bubble before the NBA. Green's a 3rd year player. You were preaching patience for KPJ who'd had multiple years in the actual NBA but all of a sudden the patience is gone?

DD is getting old, he doesn't even realize that Jalen is on his rookie contract for this season and next season. Even at the end of that, the team can let him test restricted free agency and match any contract he receives if they choose to do so. One dumb thread about a contract extension was enough to confuse DD to all hell. They don't ever have to offer him an extension! SMDH

We have to extend him in October or he is an UFA. We can keep him one more year if we want on his rookie deal but without the extension he is an UFA - this year if we choose not to extend his deal 1 year he is a RFA....

He and the season are still too young. Relax. In spite of losing the last three, Rockets played well enough to win at two of the games. A year ago Rockets were getting blown out by terrible teams. Jalen was doing way stupider things on the court. Yes he’s been inconsistent this season but look at Jayson Tatum earlier and at times even last yearX He looked like Kobe Bryant one game and then a total scrub the next kinda like JG.

Wrong, rookie contract is 3 years with a team option for the 4th year. After the 4th year, they are a restricted FA as long as the team makes a qualifying offer. They then have matching rights to any offer the player receives in free agency. The player can accept the qualifying offer, if they want, and then become an unrestricted FA after the 5th year.

You can investigate Ayton’s extension for clarification as an example.

Green is the epitome of a player who we should let become a RFA. He has not shown anywhere close to the value needed to extend him up to this point. Let the market decide his value when the time comes and hopefully he has become a player worth a big contract. If not let him go.

They will pick up his option of 12.9M. Most don’t consider picking up the option as an extension. They have a year and a half to extend him or he will be a RFA not a UFA.
