Two Jose A's on the team Interesting he was 27 y/o his rookie season, late bloomer? Lineup is gonna be crazy with 7 previous All-Stars and/or MVPs One negative is Abreu's speed. He's lead the league in DPs each of the past 3 seasons, but still a very good addition at the plate Deep deep lineup
That's what I'm saying, their response speaks volumes. Their White Sox talk rep kept repeating on every podcast how they need to hurt the Astros by going after Brantley or Yuli......go ahead.
I heard on MLB Network that Abreu has the best batting average against the top 25 pitchers in the league. So yeah....come playoff time, he should fit right in. I love Yuli but I think he's gone. Maybe he can go play with his brother. I also think JV goes to the highest bidder. But we'll still have the best pitching staff in the majors next year. #HunterBrown
Why would Yuli just be gone? It shouldn't take much to sign him, Unless hes dead set on wanting to be in the lineup everyday then maybe but that's not happening in Toronto when they already have Vlad. There's still an avenue for Yuli to get a good amount of playing time through 1B/DH
Kids loving it. Glad to see this. Also, it would be good to have Yuli back as backup...maybe he backup 1B while Abreu DH and Alvarez plays LF. Afterwards he can be a bench coach.
And he's been one of the most reliable players over the last nine seasons. In particular the last 4 seasons I don't think he's missed 10 games total due to the injury. Shows he has missed a total of 18 games but I venture to guess more than half of those games was simply a day off.
Twenty-seven is more so basketball Baseball is usually a few years older Still an awesome feat to enter the league with a bang like he did. Ichiro did similar
I haven’t read the latest numbers or seen a study in 20 years, but the great Bill James said 27 when he crunched there numbers. That might have changed especially during the steroid era.
