I watched the first season of true blood for the first time since the original airing in 2008. These dudes would pass out when Tara breaks down the education system, slavery and criminal justice system within the first 30 minutes of episode 1. I didn't even pay attention to that the first time around. I just wanted to see naked Sookie back then. I think I would have loved 1899 if I hadn't seen a couple of films dealing with the same plot. That's all I can say. The acting is superb because you get to see people who don't speak the same language react to each other. I liked that. You have like 5 main characters from different countries all in da' mix.
I am going through it now. It started off kind of slow, but after episode 5 I am kinda hooked, can't wait to see how it ends.
I seem to remember that he said he was leaving if the 76ers didn't win the NBA championship because #gematria predetermined it.
Finished the show and I begrudgingly give it a 7 because it kept my attention, and it was gorgeous to look at, and the acting was pretty good. The reason I can't go higher is that it did not make much sense in the conclusion, I need to go back and watch the final episode because maybe I missed something not a lot of resolution maybe they want to do another season which would be a mistake IMO. I had started Dark but this does not make me want to finish it.
The more I think about it I don't really care it just made no sense whatsoever how did they get all of this Tech and what's the point of any of it. And then when I thought about the huge plot hole that they never addressed. Spoiler Why did the people start dying and start commuting suicide? Did I miss something, or did they just move past all of that?
suicides Spoiler my guess is that the suicides are ‘background characters’ in the sim we saw but may be the primary characters in a different sim
See, that just makes me have a new question. Spoiler Are some people supposed to real and others not?
Spoiler Starship's passenger count matches. -shrug- BTW, my wife pointed out that The Awakening was a much shorter book than they showed on the show
Now you made want another season just to see if they explain anything. Do you watch Dark? Its made by the same people I tried to start it a couple of times but never got hooked and once I found out it's over 3 seasons I did not want to invest that much time.
I watched the first season, then forgot a lot of the characters and plot and couldn't get into season two. However, since my wife liked 1899 I may give it a rewatch.
Not the person you're replying to, but FWIW I hear it's better than 1899 by a long shot. Can be difficult to understand on first watch, though.
