I got tickets to the Home Run Derby and ASG -- I'm pumped. Also managed to get tickets to the All Star Gala Party after the Home Run Derby, and some other party before the actual ASG on Tuesday I believe. Anyone else living the life these next few days?
Trying to stay as far away from dowtown Houston as possible the next couple of days. But I do have 1st row seats on the club level for Friday's game vs. San Diego. Andy Pettitte is pitching for the 'Stros.
My brother has been living in Downtown for the last few days. I probably would be too if I still lived in Houston. Hopefully the turnout doesn't suck. Way to go, Houston sports fans.
what??? the turnout?? people come from all over the country for this event. there are no tickets to be had.
I'll probably lose, but I am eating hotdogs and apple pies tomorrow morning on the Buzz to try to win tix. I think the eating starts at 7 if anyone wants to hear me puke. lol
I was just imagining people who got tickets through work or something somehow and the crowd being mediocre, a la most Rockets games. Obviously the seats will be full. Hopefully that's not the case. Statements like "no" and "HELL no" are not encouraging, however.
LOL! That would be a perfect Astros'-themed song to describe this season... Ooooh, Chance? How are your rapping skills?
the energy was electric in the ballpark last night. probably the most energetic i've seen it since the move to the new park.
I agree, it was great being there. I just wish Lance had pulled it out, but I was impressed with what he did do. Wish I could go back tonight...
Man, you sooooooooooo Jacked it from this Billy D guy person on the radio today. When I said no, it meant I won't be able to go. I am excited about all of this, is just that I am not around.
Holy crap, what an experience. The poster chevious minniefield called me today with extra tickets he had from his stepfather, a car dealership owner here in town. We were in section 125, row 21...one over from where the NL came in. Then he caught a friggin' Scott Rolen foul ball over me, the bastid. What an amazing time.
