So you think if he played at UH he wouldn't be the same player? To me size doesn't matter, if you're great, you're great.....Bryce is great!
Other than the Texans...who is the worst team in the NFL *next* year? That's who we trade with, right?
Honestly if you're not sold on any QB's in this draft this is a good play since a good QB is everything for a team. Why draft Will Anderson when he'll only make you a better team and push you to mediocracy? Trade your top first round pick for picks in the next draft and secure the #1 next year. This is something Luhnow would do. Also keep Lovie Smith for another year.
I don't believe trading for the number 1 pick to get Caleb Williams will be an option. If you want him you have to be the worst team in the NFL next season. Trading the 1st pick this year is about having SOOO many holes in the roster that turning the number one pick into 2 or 3 first round picks and maybe some other picks is more valuable than getting 1 guy at the top. Offensive line still sucks, need a TE, need a WR, need practically a whole new front 7 on defense....
Oh I've said it many times: outside of QB/RB/WR/TE/OT/OG/C/DT/DE/ILB/OLB/CB/S/P/K/PR/KR/LS/ETC...there are no holes on the Texans roster. What I was joking about is which team (other than the Texans, I said) you'd trade down with this year will be shitty again next year and get us another shot at the #1 pick? Hard to predict, but I'm all for it.
Lol that’s true.. Just the first time I’ve heard him say Bryce should be QB1.. I’m thinking we may hear that more and more when the draft comes around.
Bryce > Caleb Williams The IQ The Processing Reading Defenses Seeing the whole field Manipulating defenders with their eyes
This is the same level of delusion that leads people to constantly buy lottery tickets. The ONLY way to get Caleb Williams is to have the worst record in the league next year. If Caleb is the prize that everyone wants, multiple teams will be tanking and whoever gets that pick isn’t going to trade it for anything so trading into the number 1 pick isn’t an option. If I’m a gm, it’s foolish to count on having the number 1 pick next year because it’s probably less than a 20% chance. No sensible business person takes that risk.
