As we go along we find more and more about our draftees, their game, their personality. Maybe he ends up being the high character high upside sort of guy most of the scouts saw in him. That is the most important lesson we should learn.
Yeah like I said earlier, absolutely full of ****. Trying to frame it in a pseudo-intellectual manner doesn't make your take any less r****ded.
Yes because great players having a giant chip on their shoulder is completely unheard of. I imagine they lead to a lot more success than the "golly, I'm just happy to even be here" mentality you seem to want from him. If a player is happy about being told he's not good enough for us in front of the whole country, I don't think I want him.
If this kid could bang around and actually finish inside, he'd be a monster. Hoping that will come late this season or next year. 20 and 10 should be the floor for him. Easy.
you realize it was Jalen who stepped between Jabari and Murray last night when Jabari was telling Murray off...
Imagine having two 20/10 players in Alpi and him. And a 30 point scorer in Green. And the best hustle players in the NBA in Tari and Destiny. Plus another high flyer in KMJ. And one of the NBA's best 6th men in KPJ. All we really need is a solid point guard. Maybe TyTy could be it.
Good for 56 percent TS. About average efficiency. Also considering he's shooting like 47TS for the season, it's actually impressive
The more I watch Smith, the more positive I am in him being a stud. I still think his floor is 18/9/2/2/2 with way above average defense on both the perimeter and interior.
I truly think this team is fine with Green running the point. There is no scenario where Porter should be the primary ball handler. It doesn't make sense.
If he learns to dunk with authority, he should be averaging 22 ppg in no time. Like next year. On that fast break, he drives in and settles for a layup from the elbow? GTFO with that. That should have been a poster. I assume it will be eventually. When it is, that's when his ppg will make the leap and he'll be a consistent scorer.
KPJ is one of the better catch and shoot players in the league. Jalen Green as a primary ball handler can get at shot he wants. He's also showing to be a fairly high IQ player that can get the ball to others. There's no reason it makes sense to continue to let KPJ handle the ball primarily.
