Goal differential Goals scored Head to head "Fair Play Record" has something to do with cards/penalties
As a neutral fan, that was a very dull watch lol Not much different than the 2010 game Sets up a very spicy win or go home game against Iran
If USA ties with England: USA would advance with a win over Iran and would be eliminated with any other result. USA advances with a win. they have to win. nothing else matters.
US beats Iran they are in. If they tie, they are out because both Iran and England and possibly Wales, would all have at least 4 points and the US would have 3.
Real talk that game was begging for Phil Foden. No idea why we didnt see him Great game from Pulisic and Adams. The entire midfield from the usmnt was good
Agree with Lalas, we've never had a striker who can put the ball on the frame. Like ever. We need goals.
Its been discussed but i dont think Pepi does much to change the trajectory of this game or world cup run but probably should have been included since he's set up to be your striker for the next decade I dont know much about Haji Wright but he was never in a good position in this game Always out of synch with his teammates and rarely in the box when needed It was a decent effort from the usmnt
They should beat Iran pretty easily. US is a second tier team. Below the Spain, Brazil, Belgiums of the world bud firmly as good as England was today.
Forget expecting an easy game Iran. Its likely that game against England was not really indicative of their level. In 2018 they finished 3rd in a very competitive group with Spain and Portugal only missing qualification by a point. Seems that the majority of players of that team are in the 2022 group. Plus you have the political angle lol expect a very tight game.
Don't worry, the IOC is only slightly less corrupt than FIFA...they'll have the Winter Olympics in Dubai as soon as the money's right.
