This will only make it that much sweeter when we hear the magic word at the end of the trial!

kobe's ego is really goin off the charts!! who does he think he is?! i mean, yes, every time is salivating for his services, but damn, that's asking too much! i feel sorry for rudy coz his gonna handle all this stress in lakerland! wow, lakers from a "predicted-but-turned-out-to-be-a-dissapointment" team to a lottery bound in just this offseason. this must be the fastest turn around of a powerhouse team to a lottery team and its not even half of the offseason yet. oh well, good for us!

A few years ago, Kobe was my favorite player in the NBA. Last year he tested my faith and put me through an emotional wringer.

Now, after this garbage, I'm through. Who does he think he is, Nero? Next, will he demand that the Clippers change their name to the "Los Angeles Kobes?"

This has got to be BS...And yes, I guess the distance is 24 miles, but who cares...

The fact that Kobe can dictate this is amazing...I remember Piazza when he signed his deal in NY, he demanded staying in the presidential suite or something similar when on the road, while the other guys got normal rooms...does it make it any better, probably not, but if the Clips agree to do this to secure kobe, why wouldn't you...

Here are my thoughts, as I was one who grew up in LA and left just last year.

Kobe lives in a city called Cota de caza, in the OC which has an average income of 1 million dollars per household.

Cota de Caza is actually 30 miles away from Anaheim, and is 65 miles away from Staples.

My point is below, after my rant.

I've always been a Lakers fan until 96.

    Why?

Because when i first met Kobe at some promotional event back in 96' the guy was already an *******. I asked him to sign my brothers jersey, and he refused too, because it wasn't a Kobe jersey, it was a Byron Scott jersey! I thought he was joking, and apparently he wasn't, because he never signed the jersey. He instead gave my brother an autograph on a napkin WTF was that, even though he had a ball with him?

He in my opinion during that time (remember he was a rookie then) was a guy who could go to hell for all I care, and I hated (hate is a strong word) his guts. I'd thought that he would have matured by now, but I guess not. Sounds sinister here, but to see him up for trial for his rape charges and seeing the Lakers blow up basically makes me smile.

Didn't mean to hit send right away.

Anyway to finish up my point. I don't care how far Cota De Caza is from Staples. ****, most of us average Joes in LA made that commute on a daily basis, from 8-7, and worked 60 plus hours a week.

You are telling me that this b**** cannot waste any time of his life driving in traffic to play a damn basketball game in front of 15 thousand people who worship his sorry ass!?

Jeez, I hope he ends up in the slammer (if he really did do something malicious), which will show him the real world for once.

Wow, I just glanced at that picture at first and thought he was doing something TOTALLY different!:p

As far as Kobe's demands, I've honestly never seen anything like this, in any sport, in my life. This might just be the most self-centered act (besides maybe Ricky Davis' triple double stunt) in NBA history.

He could pull a Jordan, since he idolizes him, and try baseball; He could sign a contract with this team:

The Orix Blue Wave, which might not be averse to changing their name since they play here

Kobe is just playing the Clippers. He's using them to force the Lakers to pull the trigger on a Shaq deal so he could return and finally have "his team".

    Let's hope he didn't sign a prenup.

    :D :D :D

But what would be even funnier is if his wife started banging Shaq, as payback.

    1. Kobe won't be found guilty
    2. Its a business
    3. aaahhhh Power . . .good to have it

hell plenty of teams have jerked plenty of players around
so Kobe is jerking all these teams around is refreshing

I'm not kobe fan . . in fact dislike him alot
    but
this is too funny all the Regular Joes coming to the defense
    of the defenseless Richer-than-Kobe Owners

    RRiver -

It is one thing to jerk a team around with respect to money, but it is another to jerk around the season tcket holders.

Agreeing to these terms with Kobe would set a horrible precedent.

    RRiver,
I don't really think people are feeling sorry for the owners here. If anything, it looks like people think the owners are major league dumbasses for even listening to such tripe from Mr. 8-for-27 from the field.

Yeah, it's not about feeling sorry for the owners. It's about realizing what a screwup Kobe is. This whole situation is shedding light on his poor character.

Kobe has been a jerk for more than a minute
now the whole world kind of gets that

this whole thing is fascinating to me
    Power games always are

Kobe has literally Jerked the whole league around

one man . .ONE PLAYER having that kind of power
is something i would have never thought would happen

It seems to me that the middle ground would be the Clippers agreeing to move by a certain year to Anaheim. If everyone can still get to the game in a half hour it's not that big of a deal. To have Kobe locked up for 10 years would be worth it to fans...possibly...just guessing.
