Hispanics are so many different cultures that it isn't right to lump them together. It is like lumping all Africans or Asians together. Some Hispanic voters are very conservative (Cuban Americans) and some are quite liberal (Ecuadorians) in general terms. When people say Hispanic, I assume often they mean Mexican Americans, because they are the largest demographic of Hispanics in the USA and because they border the USA. This is changing, as Venezuelans and others are entering in fairly large numbers. Still, the majority of Hispanics overall support the Democrat party, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. However, the margins in general have fallen for Democrats. Some third and even fourth generation Hispanics have aligned with the Republican party - intermarried with groups traditionally labeled as white or have been absorbed into the white ruling class. It isn't all doom and gloom for the Democrats though. Republicans have lost single women voters (this includes white women), and they are losing white males with advanced degrees.
Uhh no, the discussion before you jumped in @adoo style is Dems not talking directly with Hispanic voters but rather proclaiming what LatinX should care about. I rather care about the point itself than literal definition as I chose tanking as something to take note of as a problem. Trends in Texas and Florida are not outliers or silos. If in 2-4 years Dems lose Hispanic voters at the same rates now from 2018, it would without a question be tanking despite single digit drops at that point in time to now. Do you agree?
I would like to see Biden and a new VP candidate run a "2 + 2" campaign. Biden vows to retire in January 2027 and turn it over to the new VP. Let the exciting new VP candidate do most of the campaign road work and speeches, while Biden governs the next two years. Wes Moore checks all the boxes, other than not being from a Midwest swing state. But he just got elected so it would probably need to be someone else to take over for Kamala. Kamala needs to be replaced by a black politician so as to not risk a revolt. Cory Booker maybe?
Dude nothing about those numbers are tanking why do you keep using that term Democrats did not tank with Hispanics in Texas and yes Florida was an outlier when they won the Hispanic vote 64% overall, what about the actual do you not understand? Even in 2022 Hispanics voted for Democrats at a plus 30% rate, so why would anybody think those numbers are tanking or that they will actually tank in 2-4 years do you not understand what tanking is? Democrats would have to go into the negative to tank, and that's not happening in 2-4 years. So do you agree that Republicans have done worse with suburban women, which is the actual tanking using your definition. What did you think the link you provided showed it backs up my point.
