Tell that to the Spurs the season before they drafted Duncan. They shut down everyone even an aged Dominique Wilkins and they wouldn’t let Robinson play even though he was ready at the end of the season. Or the Cavs before they drafted LeBron. Only thing that matters is having a top 5 player. If you didn’t have LeBron, Kawhi, Giannis, or Curry in the last 11 years you don’t win period. Now can you find that guy without a top pick? Sure but if you have a top pick you have the ability to select him too. What the TWolves are doing is just stupid but they are a stupid organization. They suffer from being a small market team who drafts terribly (2 PGs chosen over Curry) and can’t attract free agents. They will be a first round exit at best.
Wolves were doing just fine before punting future assets for a incredibly flawed player in Gobert. Just a stupid move from day 1 and plenty of folks saw this coming. And yeah Gobert you definitely deserve to get booo'd when you play that bad.
All in for this LOL. Imagine using those assets used to get him and actually getting real positive additions to their core minus Gobert.
