Rome is a hypocrite. Why does he need to make derogatory comments such as "Santiago's face looks like a ctcher's mit + Greg Pock-mark-ovich + calling Coach K and Shannahan the rat family.......

    hey Rome, FU!

    XTRA Sports Radio 690/1150

Not sure if it will work but it's worth a try.

QUOTE]This is Jim Rome interviewing Stevie Franchise formerly with the Houston Rockets. Steve what do you have to say?"
SF: "Word, dribble dribble dribble turnover. What up?"
Jim Rome: "Steve, are you r****ded or what?"
SF3: "Hee hee, Dunk attempt, waste 23 seconds, turnover ... hee hee ... F.U. Yao"[[/QUOTE]

Talk about being immature and ignorant. What a dumbass!!! Last I saw Steve was the only one who stood up for Yao whenever he was being dunked on and show boated on by oponents. Also, it must be pretty hard to average almost 20 PPG, 6 RBG & 6.4 APG for his career by wasting 23 sec & turning the ball over. He is also one of the few Rox that showed stones in the playoffs and played with heart and determination where most of you thought he would fold and play like $hit.

Rome is Rome, you either love him or hate him. I hated him at first but have been listening to him since 1999. The thing about him is that he makes fun of people but at least he is fair in that he makes fun of people he is friends with that he has on his show. No one is exempt from his criticism. Soccer is my favorite sport and I used to hate when he makes fun of the sport but I also realize that his takes funny and you can't take it too seriously. It's all comedy and fun. Dan Patrick SUX ASS!!! I hate listening to 3 hours of his biotches laughing just to suck up to him.

It's ENTERTAINMENT!!! He's not a journalist - he only plays one on the radio.

BTW, as far as journalism is concerned, he actually phrases, paces, and prepares his interviews as well as anyone around. Granted, they may blow the interviewee but this show IS Rome and HIS opinions. He's supposed to be arrogant, critical and funny. In real life, he's extremely low key.

Sounds like they are having a hard time tracking Stevie down. They didnt mention what hour he would be on.

I love the Jim Rome show.
I listen everyday, and I am so glad that we carry all 3 hours and miss the first hour of the talking hair do.

    Dan Patrick SUCKS!!!! DING!!!

Its sad when the CNN Sports Guy is more modern than Dan Patrick.

    That's not true.

Barkley and Rome ran into each other in Vegas. A player, whose name escapes me, and a friend of both got them talking at the restaraunt. Barkley got in Rome's face, but they later ended up having a good time and Barkley promised to come on his show and did.

Maybe he's at the all-star game and decided not to be on the show. We all know how he likes the big games in Houston.

"This is Jim Rome interviewing T-Mac formerly with the Orlando Magic. Tracy what do you have to say?"

TM: "Can you aim that spotlight at me?"

Jim Rome: "Tracy, we are on radio."

TM: "Oh, I know. I just want to make sure people know who is the star in this interview."

Rome: "How do you think the Rockets will do next year?"

TM: "Well, as long as my cousin Carter doesn't try to join this team, Yao would stop crying about being tired, and all the other guys would step up their game, I wouldn't have to carry the team."

Rome: "Next we will step down the prima donna list a little and interview Kobe Bryant ...."

    Funny enough for you?

    I'll add some more...

Jim Rome: How are you and JVG going to get along?

TM: Well, we both quit on our teams during a season, so we already have much in common.

Personally, I like T-Mac and he is one of the few players I would trade steve for, I just can't stand morons like the one who started this thread...why bash a guy who put up sick #'s and balled his ass off for the team? Be happy with what you got and move on.
