    Look,

I want Yao to grow up and start to dominate, the last thing he needs is some old retread player whose personality will over ride Yao for another year.

Yao was in SF shadow, and now he has a chance to prove it is his team. TMac knows it.....and Yao does too.

GP would be a big ego that would have to be appeased, and I think it is time to build around Yao and TMac.

Get veterans that are role players, not players who are past their prime and trying to prove they can still be superstars.

Haven't we tried that twice already in Houston, and it didn't work.

Let's build around our 2 young superstars...support them, not the past.

Wonderful. This coming from someone who believes that "Garry" Payton dropped off the face of the Earth 10 years ago (after a 3 year run of fairly good ball), resurfacing briefly with the Lakers last season. Seriously, have you actually followed basketball for the last decade? Even skimmed through the box scores occasionally?

Once again, why do so many of you think Fisher is better than Payton, just because you hate Payton?

Admittedly, I hate Fisher and dislike Payton. But they both sucked defensively in the playoffs against the pick and roll. Payton shot the ball better. If you don't think Payton would work here, why the 180 in feelings about Fisher???

Why pay Fisher, who is average at best, a decent salary over multiple years? You could have a future hall of famer for one year, and if it doesn't work out we look at the FA market next year.

As for the argument that Payton's presence undermine's the "Yao's Team" attitude.....I think with the way Yao is, very reserved and humble, that this team simply changed from Francis's team to TMac's team. Yao must become more physical and vocal if he is going to reach that next level....regardless of who is playing point guard for us.

I'd rather start the season with Lue than take a Fisher/Snow contract for a few more years. Beware the Ides of Kelvin Cato!!!

    First, we don't hate payton.

It's just Fisher/Snow fits us better.

And when fisher starts, Lakers won 3 champion in a row.
    And when payton...
