Japan, Korea , they are better than the US at certain things

creatively, it's been way better recently because America has come out with dumb stuff like She Hulk
and the comic books are much worse breh, they have ghey spiderman and superman

Raising my kids in a wealthy liberal enclave has me legit worried this is going to happen to me.

I was a free range kid. Be home by dark, etc. Yes, I got into some dicey situations and scraps that otherwise I should have known better, but it made me grow up and learn independence.

Now I'm surrounded by helicopter and snowplow parents who have GPS trackers on Timmy's forehead and Suzie's entire weekend is planned down to the minute. There's absolutely no appetite for any amount of risk or ambiguity.

    It makes me sad.

doesn’t change the fact that Americans come nowhere close to liking anime more than Marvel or DC

the most popular anime would get nowhere near the views or revenue of just an average MCU film in America

some manga selling more than comic books in America is whatever to me…I’ve never read a comic book in my life

How many people have read a Black Panther comic in comparison to how many people are watching the film? The difference will be staggering.

it’s simple…u said Americans love anime more than Marvel…false since the MCU is an elephant compared to any anime ant

then u pivoted to comic books and manga which doesn’t mean that much…many people have never read a comic book, but watch Marvel…u don’t need to read comics in order to watch or understand what’s happening in the MCU

    MCU>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>anime>>>>manga>=comic books in America

    those are just the facts

and of course I’m talking about films since u brought up anime…anime and manga are 2 different things…1 u read, the other u watch

MCU does 100x better than any anime or manga in America…way more people watch Marvel than read it as a comic book

Yes random street crime has been dropping since the 80's in general things are much safer now than they were then.

Ironically given the rise of school shootings its gotten more dangerous inside the school since the 80's.

I remember the good ole days living in Huntsville Texas as a kid with piney woods everywhere and large separation from other homes and the “national forest” sign bordering our property, going definitely a half mile or more into these woods as a 10 year old on an “adventure” …of course this is something I would never let my children do at that same age but amazing I always felt safe…ps man it was a beautiful house..stone exterior, terra-cotta pattern style roof, interior wall fountain, pool, 2 lush large plum trees on side, lake towards back end … I tried so hard to earth google the property but can’t find it - it was a weird address route 6 box 821 ranch road …that’s all I know

look Toyota and Honda took over the car business

    Toyota center

somehow the Koreans got the kids to listen to their music because American teen music sucks

and isn’t the most popular rapper Canadian ?

Back to the subject , the Japanese kid could probably walk half a mile faster too
    And safely too

no homeless people or amber alerts there

When I was in second grade (around 7?) I got lost in the woods with two other kids for an entire day. It was opening weekend of hunting season.

They estimated we walked around 14 miles that day. We found our way out, knocked on a door, and the gentleman that lived at that house drove us the 10 miles, or so, home. Police cars, searchers on horseback were waiting when we all got there.

Pretty sure they all just packed up and left.

What a time to be alive.

    This.

I’ve heard horror stories about heavy-handed CPS people but this just doesn’t add up.

I seriously feel for these people but I wonder what triggered the cascade of events and discoveries that lead to her admitting guilt then being charged.

If they were really railroaded, why not set up a gofundme for legal costs? I can’t think of a better reason for people to donate than your kids being wrongfully kept from you. I would donate.

none of this changes the fact that MCU sh*ts on anime in America and is 100x more popular…that is the facts regardless of whatever else you’re bringing up about Toyota or Korean teens

When I was a kid, during the summer, if I wanted something to drink I risked 3rd degree burns from a water hose. I might get to come inside for lunch. The rest of the time my mom had no clue what I was doing. If I had gone missing it wouldn't have been known until I didn't show up at dark. The same with my friends.
