OK - here's a shot in the dark - seems we could get Antoine Rigadeau . http://www.basketstat.com/players/rigaudeau_antoine.htm He could come to camp. He shoots really well. he's 6'7" . Should be able to deliver the ball to Tmac and Yao. We're not talking a dribble penetration game like he had to try and crack in Dallas or Golden State. He just brings it up the court in a hurry and dumps it to a star. Seems like a fit, worth a training camp shot.
"He can't dribble. What did he show, that he could miss a whole bunch of shots? You could get an American to do that."
Rigadeau sucked in Dallas. He was outright awlful! Was suppose to be the big thing out of europe, but made Moochie look like a star.
I think everybody is overlooking the obvious. Bob Sura. Good handle, good on the ball defender, ended the season with three triple-doubles. I think the time has come.
I'm really wondering why we haven't heard anything!!!! I do however have faith that CD already knows who he's targeting and just waiting for the 14th to announce it. Or he could be waiting for the free agent frenzy to settle and see what bargains are left to fill the holes. Wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall in the Rockets meeting room??????? We have some pretty big holes!!!
Everyday we hear about some team somewhere being active in the free agent market. But we never hear anything about the Rockets. Maybe the Rockets have finished with there moves. I hope this is not true. Although the team has improved by adding under 7 foot player on the planet to there roster, I feel they need to do more to compete with the Spurs and Kings.
I suspect the Rox are lurking. They will make a deal from strength after things play out in places like PHILLY, Cleveland, Clipland, Miami, NY, NJ, etc etc. If Philly is desperate to jettison Snow then OK, we want Dalembaert type deal. The Rock team of November will be much stronger than today's, I believe I believe I believe.
Let's get real. TM fell into CD's lap, and so did YM, for that matter. What has the front office done (on their own) since the SF trade, that hasn't been a complete disaster. Drafting Boki, and signing Jackson are it. I'm glad we have TM, but I'd still like to have a new GM, and our lack of movement these past 12 days is a perfect example why. We have two exceptions for crying out loud, and nothing to show for them. At the very least, throw the Cav's a lifeline, so they can match Utah. You do this, if only to block your arch enemy from getting a stud player. I'm glad the Rox are being smart with their money, but if they turn around and sign an average player to a big contract, I'm going to puke. At this point, the Rox should offer Collier the minimum, and Fisher one half the exception, and hope YM takes his game to the next level, because the West just got a hell of a lot tougher.
Then don't even try. TM forced the trade, and he made it very clear that Houston was his only choice. YM was a no brainer, and I refuse to give management credit for getting the lucky bounce in the lottery. Both players basically fell into the Rox lap.
Well, to be honest, in this insane FA seller's market, I'm glad they haven't done anything that would haunt them for the next 5 years. We aren't just looking at whether we look like players right now. They are looking to build a team around Yao and TMac. If they make big mistakes this summer, they'll be hurt for years to come. I think they are being opportunistic, and waiting for the deals, like Jim Jackson last summer, which is smart. Outside of Barry, I don't know anyone who has gotten an offer sheet that was worth the money, except maybe Boozer. In 3 or 4 years, we'll probably be glad we didn't sign him this summer, as much as I wanted him. I'm hoping we'll add another piece of two, though, to the team. this summer ...
I agree completely. The prices these bumbs are getting; it's unbelievable. I'm waiting for them to get good value. I think they're being smart by being patient.
