But as the the way this deal is going down, Heat is going to suck big time in 2 years. They may not even win the division this year. The Lakers were almost certainly lottery bound, now they came back to the show.
I predict that you will forget about Francis next year. And when I say, "forget." I mean, "glad that he was traded." Winning will remove all sympathy for sloppy basketball of the past five years.
Take my handle at face value. Steve is NOT a franchise player in any way shape or form to date. Wanting to be the man is not enough. Five years in he has not gotten any better. Still he is a 20/5/5 player. Is he good? One of the best in the league. Is he able to elevate the game of players around him. Not to date. Do I think he can over come his deficiencies. Once again, he has not gotten the message to date. He has a great opportunity to start with a new group. I hope he takes advantage. Five years of this has been enough. Was it all Steve's fault? Of course not. Let's move on to the TMac era and see if Steve can make his team as good as they can be or whether he remains the whipping boy for the failure of the franchise. If you want to call yourself Franchise, you get the bad with the good.
i'm not saying i was against that trade. i think T-Mac is one of the best, and if we get a decent point guard and a decent backup center i'm verry glad that this trade happend. al i say is that i was a francis suporter when he was with us, and i hope he will have a great career. i feel the same about mobley. I will always think that steve was agreat player when he played with us, and i hope he will play great in orlando, i'm not a blind steve fan that i think he never made a mistake. i'm glad we have T-Mac.
Never underestimate the narrow mindedness of a hateful poster whose persona (username) is defined by his hatred of a single player.
Like everyone's said, your name shows us that you're not gonna listen to reason, but anyway... Here's how I see the east playoffs breaking down (based on how the teams look NOW) 1. Detroit- Unless they lose Sheed, I don't see why they won't finish first in the east again. Plus now they got confidence and momentum on their side. 2. Indiana- The top seed is a toss up between them and Detroit really. They have just as good a chance as the Pistons really 3. Nets- Depending on where K-Mart lands, the Nets can land anywhere from 3rd to 8th seed the way i see it, but either way their still playoff threats in the east. 4. Miami- The way I see Miami going is this: IF Shaq plays the whole season, him and Wade are gonna do some damage. But then you have to look at it this way too; Shaq is injury prone, and Miami gave up basically their entire core to get him, so if he goes down, the Heat will suffer big time 5. Magic- The Magic really have a chance to be higher up than this in the playoffs really. Since Steve/Cat/Cato are long-time teammates, chemistry shouldn't be a problem. And if you remember, the team of Steve/Cat/Anderson/Thomas/Cato almost made the playoffs in the WEST before Yao got there, and I'd definitely put Grant Hill/Dwight Howard/Drew Gooden/Turkoglu above Thomas and Anderson. So you gotta look at that. 6. Knicks- I don't have any real reasons, I just think they'll be right here! 7. Sixers- It all falls on AI (so what else is new?). If the man goes down, the Sixers are 100% done. If he plays the whole season, they have a chance for a lower playoff seed. It's that simple 8. TORONTO!- Yeah you probably think I'm crazy, but if Vince plays a full season, then I see the Raptors on the playoffs. Bosh, Rose, Skip, etc. are a good bunch of role-players so I see them being pretty decent if Vince is 90%+
I'm glad to see the southeast division -- which was looking like it'd be the weakest in the league -- get a lot stronger. Recent influxes of talent like Francis and Shaq will make it a lot more respectable.
