According to the report, the Wolves would offer Hudson the full midlevel exception, approximately $38 million over six years, while protecting themselves with contractual language that gets the team off the financial hook if his chronic ankle problems resurface. Views Hudson's fantasy value is at its highest when he has the opportunity to play big minutes and flash his scoring ability—as he demonstrated in averaging 14 points and six assists as a starter in 2002. Therefore, we were hoping he might land in Houston, for example, where he'd have a chance to start. Unfortunately, if the deal is completed as expected, he'll be relegated to backing up Sam Cassell in Minnesota, where he'll only be a fantasy factor if Sam continues to get hurt. Damn, everyone is going fast. Who do we plan to get?!?
Wait until a month from now when all of these GM’s realize what a mistake it was to sign free agents to these outrageous contracts. They’ll be begging the Rockets for their trade exception.
How many games did Hudson play last year? Between him and Sam, they might have 1 complete PG. It doesn't make sense to sign injury prone players to 6-year deals. Here's to hoping that Mike James falls to us for a 2 year, $5 million contract.
See? Again, it was CD leading the way by signing marginal players to big contracts for 6 years. He started a trend. And now, he sits back and grins with his evil laugh as other GMS take the bait and live in salary cap hell. Yes folks, the entire NBA will soon be known as the CDA....
Wow...when will the money run out? Does this mean there will be some great deals left out there once the big money is gone? Or will it be the bottom of the barrel by then?
I, do not think that Troy Hudson would work on this team... Derek Fisher or Eric Snow over Hudson any day IMO... He seems to be erratic... I remember in Orlando him being able to score 12 pts. in like 43 seconds off the bench af the game was out of reach... and this didn't happen once or twice... (BTW I'm overstating, but you get the point)
