Lies. Liberal doctors will remove the living baby and choke it to death right in front of the mother and her preacher.
DeSantis signed FL law banning abortion after 15 weeks with no exception for rape, incest, or human trafficking. He also pledged to sign legislation banning abortion after fetal heartbeat. No, not sensible.
Oranges by the bushel? Inflation sucks. And the worst part is the fed is going to try to taper it so the price increases are forever. Who knew the “too low” 1-2% inflation of the Obama years would be sorely missed a decade later.
One one bag of groceries?!? I buy groceries for a family of four every week and yes, I sometimes get over $200, but that's a full week's worth of food. And usually when it's that high it's when I'm buying things that last longer than a week, like TP, paper towels, cleaning supplies, toiletries, pet food, etc.
I agree that a better compromise is needed. Need some regulation around abortion, but also need it generally available. I don't think DeSantis hit the balance. Florida's rules are too restrictive. But I'm okay with some regulation so long as the spirit is generally to make it available.
fruit, avocados, meat, snacks. Kroger up charges where I am, I'm sure I spent 50% more because of that and the instacart charges but I'm so busy most of the time I can't stop at the store before it closes. But I think you have a point.
So I have been looking for people whose models had it right, and found this guy. No idea who he is, but looks like he kinda nailed it.
major cap from Fat Joe… $350 for a bag of groceries…lol, ok She buying diamond and gold encrusted burger patties and eggs farmed from the world’s rarest chicken?
Much of that margin has to do with uncontested GOP districts and terrible minority turnout. The remarkable thing about this election is that Democrats did ok despite African American turnout was well below expectations. Even in Georgia, rural black voters failed to turnout. But you can see it across the south. All of the Democrats in Black VRA districts in the Deep South significantly underperformed. Hispanic turnout was a little better but also wasn't that great. I think the general assumption over the last 6 years has been that its simply a battle of turning out more Democrats than Republicans. It seems like Independents ended up voting at a reasonably high clip for Democrats and there was some decent split ticket voting by Republicans. I think the senate race in Pennsylvania is probably the best example of this. Fetterman was getting Obama's percentages in a lot of the ancestrally Democratic rural areas. All of that more than offset mediocre african american turnout in Philadelphia.
