Somebody needs to do something: Stone gives Silas a three year extension just so he can grant the fan base their wish that he did some-thing
Guys, if somebody doesn't do some thing, no thing will be done. So please, anyone ... do some things.
Anytime you get upset about how bad the Rockets are just imagine being a Laker's fan right now. You're a proud member of the most entitled fan base in basketball history. Your team features 2 former MVPs and a former MVP candidate. Your best player is considered by many the greatest player of all time. All three of your stars are on max contracts. You have no draft picks until like 2027. And your team is tied with the Houston Rockets for the worst record in the league.
Sounds like they could use an Eric Gordon, but I'm not sure if they have anything to offer that they could screw themselves over even more with.
We are 3 years literally stuck in last place, exhibiting some of the most frustrating basketball. That is rather hard to defend but some are working overtime at it.
Time is precious. Do I really want to waste it watching a bunch of millionaires playing unorganized, uninspiring, selfish ISO-ball? The answer is a resounding NO!.
You can’t count the Harden last season as part of the rebuild. We got nothing out of that year. There wasn’t any rebuilding in that year. That was the year of the storm. The house was blown down. But we didn’t start putting back the framing until the next year with our first set of draft picks (Green, Sengun, and Christopher, Garuba). We are 13 games into this season. So we are exactly 1 season and 13 games into this rebuild. Not 3 years. And this team is FAR easier to watch than last season or that dead season with Wall after Harden departed. Losing sucks. But there is a lot to be excited about from thirst ram even if there are a lot of frustrating moments That’s what happens when you have the second youngest team and start a bunch of 19-20 year olds. W
Situations are different, but are you an Astros fan by chance? Remember when they had 100+ loss seasons? Look at them now... And it's arguably easier to acquire immediate talent and make the playoffs in the NBA. Patience. Rockets aren't winning anything this year, rational fans knew that. Silas appears to suck, but the roster is unbalanced. He'll be Brett Brown'ed soon enough. That "goon" lineup of Martin, Eason and Garuba is a bright spot and something to look forward to. Fact that Garuba is even getting minutes shows improvement. Sengun I still don't think can manage huge minutes. Smith's been a huge disappointment, but Green was too last year. Let's see how the team plays towards the end of the season. Very tough schedule to start keep in mind.
It’s not all ISO ball though. There are plenty of moments where the team is clicking and passing. We have been in almost every game. We have fought back from large deficits. We have seen almost every player on the team have at least one night where they flashed their potential. This season has been unquestionably easier to watch than the last two.
except they just won a championship 3 years ago and have the greatest of all time as a trade asset. As well as AD, who someone will overpay for just like we saw happen with Gobert Like it or not the Lakers are the greatest franchise in nba history partly BECAUSE they are held at a higher standard by their fanbase Its so funny how people will say **** like "I would trade the next decade for a championship" but when the Lakers do it its somehow not worth it?
