He traded one title for another after changing duties. But it was a lateral move with different duties meaning GM for the Astros is not a promotion.

And she either loves it or she's a GREAT actress too.
Posted on other thread... Luxury tax level in 2022 was 230 so Crane still isn't paying into tax. We can then rotate LF/1B/DH between Abreu, Yordan, Brantley, and Gurriel with Yordan/Abreu getting more time and Brantley/Gurriel effectively platooned. Gurriel, Hensley, and Dubon provide depth at multiple positions.
i like all this, but i think it's either/or for yuli and abreu. if they are re-signing yuli, his value would be as a money-saving everyday player option. doesn't serve a ton of purpose as a bench player (barring injury) imo. unless he can take all of the bregman and altuve days off at 3b and 2b in addition of whatever games he'd get at 1b, but seems unlikely at his age and since he hasn't gotten any starts there in a few years.
Interesting development. As much as Crane didn’t get along with Click, Dusty really didn’t get along with Click. That was a concern going forward not just for this year but for Click’s relationships in the future. A big reason why Crane didn’t want to go longer than 1 year. He wanted resolution between the two.
Yuli hit 30 points better against lefties and 71 points higher ops. He doesn't strike out much and would be an ideal pinch hitter in a run scoring situation. In Brantley's last full season (2021) he hit .365 against righties with a .937 ops. Against lefties he hit .208 with a .530 ops. I think a platoon would do both some good to max what they have left in the tank. In that scenario Brantley would see the majority playing time as most pitchers are righties. Abreu and Yordan hit everyone.
There are only so many roster spots. 13 to be exact (position players) Maldy, Altuve, Alex, Pena, Yordan, Chas, and Tucker have earned their spots. That leaves 6 spots. Need 1B, CF, and b/u at every position including C. If Abreu AND Yuli AND Brantley are signed That leaves 3 spots for CF, b/u C, and b/u infield. Hensley can be one player but I'm not sure how the organization feels about him at SS. Dubon would be a better fit in the field but has very poor glove. The team has stated that they prefer Chas as a corner OF and b/u CF rather than starting CF. That means Meyers or Leon ( likely) makes the team. That leaves b/u C which would likely be Korey Lee. Not terrible but having all 3 of those guys significantly reduces the versatility of this roster. I prefer letting Yuli go.
Yuli can fill in at 3B, 1B, and 2B in a pinch. Dubon can play some 2B and CF. Not much of an arm but has range and they used him for defense. Diaz is behind Lee if he struggles or if there's an injury. LF could be covered by Brantley, Yordan, Dubon, McCormick, etc. SS can be Hensley and maybe Dubon in pinch. Biggest risk to me depth wise would be 3B if Bregman is out and Yuli is there. Not sure who would be behind him, Joe Perez? I don't think Diaz is enough of an upgrade for what he was even getting in arbitration. I like him but not if it's the difference in upgrading a regular bat.
I guess backup ss would be a problem if Pena goes down. You have Hensley starting and Dubon backing up... maybe find a journeymen type to stash in AAA that can at least field the position...
I love the **** this Twitter handle makes up. [/QUOTE] Parody Account. It took me a while to find it.
Benintendi to play LF Contreras to play C Sign Bell to play 1B. Rotate Yordan as needed to LF an DH Look into Longoria or Turner or bring back Yuli off the bench
Given 30 teams with 5 pitchers each (a total of 150), Urquidy would rank at number 125 by FIP. Definitely not the #2 that you think he is.
