I think Silas is starting to finally understand that an offense centered around skilled big men that can pass (Sengun, Garuba and even Bruno) is way more deadly than iso hero Yolo ball.

His rotations are still questionable as hell as there should never be a time where one of Sengun/KPj/Green aren't on the floor. But the offense has looked much better in two games. He needs Jabari/Jalen to move more like the Warriors do with Klay/Steph. Jabari just stands there as does Jalen.

People need to be waaaaay more patient with Jabari and Eason. Those layups and bunnies at the rim seem easy enough but these guys are rookies and still feel that pressure to not screw up and thus.....screw up. We've all been there when we're doing something new and press. You make the smallest mistakes. Jabari played well and had some good defensive possessions. I don't think he's going to ultimately be better than Paolo but I do think he's going to be a more impactful player when it comes to winning.

As much as I like Scoot I think Amen Thompson would be a great consolation prize. 6-7 jumbo wing that can pass. Essentially taller KPj with an Intel i7 instead of a 95 Packard Bell processor. A top 3 pick and I'm good.

Silas can't say that with a straight face when KPJ and Green are in the games to finish.

The dude is an utter clown. I never thought I'd see the day where Kevin McHale's *clap clap "play harder" would contain infinitely more basketball IQ than anything Silas has done on the sideline.

He's hitched his wagon to who the perceived star player of this team should be, in the hopes it keeps him in the chair.

I'm surprised Sengun hasn't given him an uppercut. The guy must have the patience of a monk having to deal with kPJ, Green and Silas knowing how much smarter he is than all of them.

It's a joy to watch him continuously barking out to teammates where to move and be on the court to get the offense running. If only our PG had an ounce of the basketball smarts that Sengun has.

How many times in the past two games has KPJ done something to create the assist that he got?

As opposed to how many times he was above the three point line with no defender and passed it to a wide open player behind the 3 point line who launched it and it went in?

Want to bet those assists go way back down when the players exit this hot streak?

I'd be inclined to agree with you if the majority of them were actually created by KPJ and not a token assist because he made the last pass.

(To be fair: he may have had many of the actual well earned and worthy of compliments type of assists against the Raptors - as I was drinking whilst watching the game. Only things I remember from the game are KJ's monster block, Sengun being taken out to ensure the team wouldn't win, and the KPJ and Green 2 on 1 fast break where KPJ could've held it to draw the defender and thrown an easy alley oop for Green, but instead threw it miles too early because he wanted to get the ball back, and in turn since Green didn't pass it back, created any unnecessary contested layup hahaha that was horrible I know last game though the vast majority were as mentioned above)

They just need to cut down on the turnovers and stop dying by the three. You have multiple players who are capable of attacking the basket. They dont have to shoot all of those dam threes.

I think it's very obvious you have some sort of agenda here when you repeatedly today talk about how Silas, KPJ and Green have low IQ and the one white person has high IQ when you are saying all this on a night when KPJ and Green had higher offensive and defensive ratings than Sengun.

This game was actually fun to watch. The first quarter was very good...we actually looked like a team. Its interesting to see how one game we play really good and the next game its a complete chaos. Lots of good things last night..cant complain about the loss

Unfortunately, it's not just Sengun on defense. The whole team is lacking in fundamentals starting with communication. The past games showed how easily the drivers get past the first line of defense and there is no help, other than Martin, Jr., once the offensive player gets to the paint. That is even more obvious when the opposing players get offensive rebounds regularly once the interior defender is forced to stop the offensive player who regularly gets to the paint relatively at will. The Rockets need more experience and coaching on the fundamentals of individual and team defense. It's on Silas and his coaching staff.

I really think it's a matter of them TRUSTING EACH OTHER AND CARRYING THE 1ST HALF OVER INTO THE 2ND HALF.

This is the process that I like, seeing them progress even during a loss. I saw hustle, determination, grit, extra passing, now it's just a matter of fine tuning to turn all of what they learned into wins!

Good time to talk about Alpy wiping off 2 points from the score with his FIBA goaltend or nah? Asking for a friend.

(Maybe if the score was closer than 7 points going into the post late in a close game might have been a good idea or Sengun could just get better at 3's and make himself irreplaceable in any game theory situation - Juuuuuust sayin'! ... Cue the butthurt in 3....2...1.)

ah sengun is benched because of not shooting 3s!

and i thought this was about fouling out.... or it was the stamina excuse?

    what was it really?

    whatever its always something lololol

if i am sengun i am throwing a soup a day... thats the best way to secure starting, finishing and getting the ball more...

You can run around with your hair on fire all you want, but as far as last night was concerned Sengun not being able to be a consistent 3 point threat is what kept him out. What do you recommend - posting up Sengun with less than a minute to go down 7?

Go ahead and keep 'whatabouting' to KPJ its what you all do. Play up Alpy's strengths and then react like insolent children when anyone brings up valid criticisms.

    Go Rockets amirite?

3 days aren't too bad, considering you have already waited over 3 months for the season opener.

Yes indeed……from 1-16 last year to 2-10 this year.

People forgot when Green got injured last year, we added Garry Bird and he was on fire during that win streak.

I doubt it happens again this year. 2-10 is a horrible start for a team that's not actively tanking. We're just terrible.
