I've had such high expectations for this movie there is no way it can live up to them. I'll probably see it later today.

Just got back from seeing it. It had some funny moments, but overall, I felt it was mediocre. And I am usually quite a fan of Will Ferrell's particular brand of comedy.

Steve Carell did often steal the show. There were some other parts that got me laughing a bit, but there were long stretches that weren't funny at all, in my opinion.

Could've been much more. Didn't hate it, but sure didn't love it, either. Won't be purchasing the DVD or anything.

yep yep. that's my take exactly.

it's like slightly better than dodgeball, same level as ELF, but it's not a classic by anymeans.

What do you Ferrell fans think about him starring as Darren in the Bewitched movie opposite Nicole Kidman as Samantha?

    They start production in September.

I think that Will being in it is the only reason I'll watch that movie.

It didn't make Mrs JB and I laugh through the whole movie, but the parts that were funny were absolutely side-splitting, laugh-til-you-cry moments.

Ferrell was just so freaking over the top. He was hilarious.

This movie was really good, best part was him in the phone booth talking to one of his members from his news team

    "Where are you Ron?"
"I'm in a glass case of emotion!"

then the crying noise he was making, was laughing so hard.

movie is definitely worth the price of admission

I agree...the movie was funny but stupid funny...I thought Dodgeball was much funnier. The funniest parts were when he got the bonner while talking to Christina Applegate and the Jack Black part where he punted tha $hit outa the dog...hilarious!!!

i thought those were pretty damn funny...and the other part i simply couldn't control my laughter in was when they were like "yeh, that fight got outta hand, i mean, there were horses, and people on fire" and then the 48 IQ guy was like "yeh, and i stabbed a guy in the heart...i stabbed him with a trident in the heart." to me, that was damn funny. also when that same guy had the grenade...and they were like "where did you get that..."i dunno" and then he's running around in the middle of the fight with his grenade. pretty funny IMO.
