From what I've heard, his sources have been spotted in this general area...

Everything is strangely quiet in the Rox camp. There must be something going on, but everyone is being mum.

honestly... this board is almost ADD-like.

How are you guys still craving insiders talk, and breaking stories, when you just had a whole year's worth of that over the last 3 weeks of the T-mac deal?

There were new stories everyday... countless speculation everyday... Doc would come on saying two words and the whole place would go bannanas... seriously, was that not enough?

I, for one, am happy that the Rockets haven't gone all crazy in the very talent-empty FA pool... and rest be assured, they'll make a smart move.

But, to call-out one of the insiders and claim that he's not there when we "need" him is absurd, especially since we've already had enough activity in here this summer to last most teams a lifetime.

It has been a great off-season. i can tell you one thing that IS interesting but it's not directly Rocket related.

One - Rudy orchestrated the trade FOR Shaq. That was Rudy's deal.

Two - Kobe and his wife are splitting. They've already actually split up and will make it known right after the trial. As for him staying in LA, I don't know that.

Besides that - I'd like to talk about Lester Conner some more... :D

Wow, those are two pretty big shockers.

Why would Rudy try and trade the big man? You would think he'd want to build the team around Shaq ala Hakeem, but I guess hes going the SF route with Kobe.

KB will re-sign with LA. If he's getting a divorce, he'll want the extra cash to buy off his wife.

Or because he wanted to make sure he got guys in return that HE wanted. I'm guessing he didn't want to get saddled with someone else's trade, especially when it involved Shaq.

He should have as much access to his kids as any parent. Of course the trial could effect that if he's found guilty, but he should have as much rights, meaning he can probably see his kid about as much as he wants I would assume, especially since I'm positive he would pay child support and spousal support.

Uug! I'm not sure I would want GP on the Rockets. I would rather have Fisher even though he is not a favorite of mine to join the team either. GP whined so much last season, I could have swore he was my 4 month old kid.

DocRockets, is there anything you could tell us about this proposed trade for Antonio Daniels. Was it really that close and is it something the Rockets are still pursuing?

Payton at one year would be a bargain and I would love it if the Rockets could get him. I don't buy it that he was so past it he couldn't do anything, I really believe it had everything to do with Phil Jackson and the coaching staff. I don't read to much into Payton's supposed "whining", apparently Kobe Bryant felt the same way that Payton felt, he just didn't say it publically.

I think with GP demanding a trade, Fisher is a lock to get the big $$$ from the Lakers now. Maybe not?
