He's got some speed...trying to get on base down 3 (2 out rally bloop blast kinda thing) makes total sense...but trying it with 2 strikes in the halfassed manner he did...? Wow.

Panic? People kept saying that "oh no, we can't let them see too much of our relievers". It was pretty obvious that he had seen all of Abreu that he wanted.

I don't generally believe in the "broken spirit" in baseball, but the Phillies looked completely done after the Yordan bomb.

I don't even think our relievers pitched all that well today, Philly wasn't even putting up much resistance in the ABs. All they had to do was make sure they threw strikes, which isn't easy given the gravity of the situation.

This ignores the fact that repeating is harder to do in baseball than it is in basketball. No one's done it in MLB since 2000. It's happened four times in that same time period in the NBA. Hell, it happened three times in the 90s alone.

This Astros team dominated their conference and was more statistically dominant in their respective sport than the 90s Rockets were. Again, I adore that group and idolized those players as a kid, but this Astros era is more dominant.

My brother was on speakerphone at this point...we both agreed that Yordan should at worst hit a deep flyball and score the run from 3rd.

Then the screaming and expletives began the second he touched that ball. Then the Vazquez money RBI to tack on just one more after the Bregman BB/WP.

Neris comes in an just destroys them on 10 pitches. Then they looked sad. Then Abreu comes out and does the same on another 10 pitches. It was at some point during those 2 innings that my brother said "we've got this, these guys are done"

It's gonna be alot of sports psychologist appointments from the teams they ran through, I mean some DEEP mental correction will be needed.

Props to the Phillies for beating us twice.

They were a good team. I'm glad they didn't have 1 or 2 more really good pitchers.

Same here, allbeit my $200 wager at the beginning of the season was just a tad shy of Mack’s
it’s these details that go largely unheralded in sports that often mushroom into iconic moments that most if not all of us will remember for the rest of our lives (too dramatic?)

Most people thought the deeper the series got the more Phillies would struggle because of the Astros pitching depth.

Harper swings first pitch and basically pops out on a FB right down the middle

Then, Castellanos swings first pitch at a ball 6" off the plate and pops out (foul out) to end the game

Literally the TWO easiest outs of the entire series were the two final outs

Crazy because there was a runner on and only down 3

First champion to win on home field since 2013

    Crazy odds of that happening

MLB Network interviewing Lance during the champagne celebration.......

Reporter: "How hard is it to do an interview while getting soaked with champagne?"

Lance: "It's not a big deal..... it's not our first time"

    Baller sh*t !!!!

Is there any way to re-watch the game? It doesn’t seem clear if this is possible on MLB.com, or anywhere on the internet.
