Rockets dead last in team defense

22nd is OK to start the season.

OP should hold off on starting stats thread until he learns how to read the stats, correctly.

If the Rockets go from 29th to 20th in defense in a season that's honestly pretty good in terms of who they have on the team and what their objective is this year

No not at all. I watch games and we give up more easy baskets than any other team in basketball. I always play draftkings and play only players going against us because it’s the easiest money in town.

I’m glad Wood is gone! We need Tari to play SF when Jabari is playing PF. So we need Garuba to backup Jabari at PF and we need Tari to backup our starting SF, Garuba is a good defensive player and very good against pick and roll. Lastly, we need Fernando to play backup center…not start.

 

The 22nd looks good but that was the merit of the first 3-5 games, then it got worse and worse.

Rebounding is the only department that works.

 

Worst record in the league and last in defense. I know we are only 10 games in but we should be better than this. Not gonna knee jerk but I need to see some improvement soon.

That was in reference to the ping pong balls. Defending the ping pong balls at all costs is #1 priority.

 

The Rox are way worse than I what they've shown. Silas is gone for sure after this year.

Silas is a joke hope he's gone soon, defense is sad, though the offense might be worse and more frustrating.

Silver lining -- been cleaning up in daily fantasy starting whoever the Rockets play against!

So Silas cant teach defense and runs freelance on offense. Cant adjust ingame, and has no rival specific solutions(„we cant stop Nurkic”haha). What exactly is his value to our team except for cuddling 2-3 players?

Yes, there is one stat that matters: 38 wins. In a season? No bro. Out of last 174 games, we loose about 80% of games we play for third straight year (we won more in one season in every year dating back to 2011 and at this rate this will be worst 3 consecutive three seasons im Rockets whole history. Already is worst two years span). Want some more? Ok - team wanted to tank, so we grab top players from every draft we tanked. As of now, our drafted players arent even ranked top5 out of their peer group by most, and have top10 worst effeciency out of players who took more than 100 shots in the league. I dont care about your nit picked statistics out of the ass. But yeah lets pad everybody in fo on the back - good job guys!
