Drew is probably still on the payroll!

Rudy and CD sure knew how to spend Les' money.

I am sorry that you folks don't see it in the same light as me. What I am trying to say is that Drew is young, cheap, and his game is suited for a slow-down tempo. He was brought in to be the Rockets' point guard of the future. However, when Steve Franchise was drafted the following year the team went in a different direction. Those other people that everyone else is mentioning, such as Matt Maloney and Brent Price, are much older. Drew is young, can shoot, he is all about the fundamentals, and is clutch.

...And by the way, I am NOT Bryce Drew

I say we sign Muggsy Bogues (5'3") & trade for Earl Boykins (5'5"). Now, who do we start?:D

Some of these old names are bringing back some serious nostalgia!

What about Jim Petersen? Winston Garland:eek: Hell, Granville Waiters can spell Yao for a few minutes a game!

Frankie Johnson would probably play a slow game too at this moment.

Make fun of Drew all you want, guys, but I remember he started a few games (5) for us a few years back and averaged something like 17 points, 6.5 assists, and 3 boards a game as a starter

I always felt he should've gotten more PT. I think he'd be a great fit for this team now.

    In fact, check out his game by game stats with us from the 99-00 season;

I think there's a pretty good correlation there between his minutes and overall production.

    Hornets Waive Guard Bryce Drew

Posted on Tue, Mar. 02, 2004
    Associated Press

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Hornets waived guard Bryce Drew on Tuesday, a day after putting him on injured reserve to make room for David Wesley.

Drew averaged less than a point and an assist in 15 games with the Hornets this season.

He is best known for a shot he made in college: a buzzer-beating, game-winning, off-balance 3-pointer in Valparaiso's 1998 NCAA tournament upset of Mississippi.

The Hornets signed Drew as a free agent before the 2001-02 season. In his first two seasons with team, he averaged 3.1 points and 1.5 assists.

I found this site while looking for info on Bryce Drew.

I’m Bryce Drew. I play in the NBA. I’m single, and I can relate to the pressures you feel. MY game plan? Remain sexually abstinent until marriage."

the last 4 and half months of the season, when drew scored 11 or more, were all losses. I don't know how that's relevant but i would give him a shot for the league minimum. you can't go wrong with the league minimum, even if it's eddie griffin.
