It's the mighty average law. Our pitcher overachieved during regular season, our hitting is at the same level of regular season, which is above average.
javier, framber, hunter brown, luis garcia, and uriquidy is a good enough staff for next year regardless of how this series turns out
this is shaping up to be the worst game in the history of the astros. i mean...is there any other way to see it?
**** that guy but he’s right. Lance was awful but this was just another level of mismanagement. It’s the ****ing World Series. Keep it tight enough to at least make them burn some relievers. I’ve never been more frustrated with Dusty.
hunter brown, framber, javier, luis garcia and uriquidy seem to be big time under pressure pitchers verlander and lmj are overpaid chokers when it matters most
Can we just pack it up and save the bullpen and send the lineup to batting practice? Pissing off the Philly fans would be a bonus.
It is sad that the Phillies have been fighting all post season down 5 runs, and the Astros appeared to give up down 4. They have no patience and energy. But tomorrow could change on a dime. And I will count on it.
Lance was not left in way too long, he should not have ever started. Otherwise, this could be a game. They have pitched great. Don't we have great pitchers?
I'd say the 7-0 loss last year in Game 6 of the World Series was worse. That one eliminated us. At least we get another crack at it tomorrow.
Plenty of series left, but Phillies can throw the back end of the bullpen this game. Lance and the rain have now negated whatever pitching advantage the Astros had.
