So you are saying his first 3 games don’t count, but his last 4 do? What if he hit a hot streak the next 5 games? Will that count?

It’s not just the first 3 games though. How quickly did you forget his 2nd half of the season last year? His shooting will come back. I for one am not worried about that one bit.

Like the other poster said, young kids growth will not be straight line up. There will be ups and downs. Hopefully more ups than downs of course. But let’s be patient.

Same goes for Jabari.

the problem is that all teenagers think like they are Doncic or Curry... C'mon it's not realistic. Someone needs to make them understand that being overconfident hurts team play.

 

Honestly Jalen's problem isn't overconfidence. It's under confidence. Green takes bad shots because he gets the ball dumped to him often with 5 seconds left and just hoists up a shot. But look what happens often when he gets the ball early in a possession at the top of the 3 pt line. He often is afraid of challenging the defender with his handles and passes it off. He is afraid of dribbling with ball pressure. He doesn't trust his handle.

 

His handle and dribbling are questionable, and I haven’t seen any improvement on those yet. Maybe he thinks like his 3 pointers and open court dunks are enough for him to score well. That’s why I said about him being overconfident. Hopefully he will develop more tools and play more aggressively.

 

Both those skills improved a LOT as last season went along. How about waiting until at least the All-Star break?
