    From Xinhua Net:

Anthony Falsone accepted the invitation of Chinese Basketball Association and became the strength and conditioning coach of Chinese National Basketball Team. He arrived at Beijing yesterday evening and said he was glad to work with China National Team. He was in Beijing and trained Yao in June.

I think this is the picture of Falsone and Yao

Thanks. CD mentioned he was going to be with Yao in China but didn't know he was going to work with the entire CNT.

That's a great idea. Since he will be following Yao around anyway, he might as well help the CNT.

That pic is dying for a caption.

This is terrific news. It's funny, during all the excitement for T-Mac, Yao has been lost in the shuffle. To put this in perspective . . . remember how last summer, all we could think about was: 1) uniforms; or 2) Yao's conditioning in China? There were like 10 threads about Yao's eating habits. We all wanted to know why Yao didn't have one of the Rockets trainers working with him, in China, monitoring his progress every day.

Well now he has it. Plus, from what it sounds like in the other threads, he's getting plenty of rest. This is a big, big deal. I'm ecstatic about the trade for T-Mac, but, at the end of the day, this team will only go as far as Yao takes them. As far as Yao goes, sounds like this summer is shaping up much better than last.

    Thanks for the scoop, windandsea!

This is great! Not only has Harris got the CNT doing NBA-style practices instead of the medieval torture stuff, now we've got a bonafide Rockets guy monitoring his health! AND he still gets like a month of rest before the season!

The only thing that really concerns me now is this FREAKING toenail issue. Who knows how long it'll take his toenails to heal and what if they heal incorrectly? And how's he supposed to get better shoes to correct the problem when he has a damn CONTRACT to wear them?

    BTW, thanks for the pics
