Fire him and Tommy Boy will be paying 4 coaches (OB, Culley, Lovie and Lovie’s replacement)

Last year he ran the 2nd worst defense in the NFL. This year he's running the worst defense in the NFL. This is after making a large draft investment on the defense. So again, why should Lovie get another year? I can be convinced to keep Lovie if the mission is to tank again next year too.

I think OB and Culley's contracts are finished after this year.

This team is easily going to win only 1 more game the rest of the season, at most. Most games will be complete blowouts. If you choose to watch them every Sunday, don't complain because you should know what you're getting into. The people who would pay money to attend these games at NRG are idiots

We don't want to get in the habit of firing the coach after 1 year. This team is a few years away (at the least) so why worry about the coach right now. Let him stink it up for another year and then go a hunt for something a lot better.

I don't understand why people want to make a change for a few more wins, and lower draft capital. Embrace the suck and build.

There's certainly a case to be made for this.

I don't want Lovie, Pep working with a newly drafted QB.

So if the new coach wins 4 games next year you’re going to fire him too? As bad as the defense was they still only gave up 17 pts. Until they address the elephant in the room (quarterback) nothing else really matters.

Meant for his sake. This is a really really bad roster and if they are moving into their 3rd coach in 3 seasons, he’d have to question on how much time he’d get.

The Titans are not a good offensive team yet they still rushed for 314 yards. They attempted one pass the entire 2nd half. I wouldn’t look at 17 points as some type of silver lining.

The coaching hires are why I am not sold on Caserio. They have both been horrendous.

    They weren’t his hires.

The Texans will be drafting a QB and need to revamp their entire roster. If they hire Demeco, I am hoping he brings the Shanahan offensive playbook and coaches with him. We don't know that for sure. Robert Sallah has made much more progress turning the Jets into a winner (particularly on defense) than Lovie has. Let's face it- Lovie's defense has been bad for a while now. I am not seeing any of that leader of men, or clock management aspects we need from him, either. Lovie Smith was a panic hire and rolling with him and a new QB would be an awful idea.
