The way I see it, this is a repeat of 2019 WS.

Astros will lose at home again today.

Yeah being up 2-0 was best case scenario but they can't now. So they need to have a short memory and forget about game 1. Wheeler will be tough. I thought Nola was going to be tough but they were able to get 5(yeah yeah majority was Tucker) so hopefully they can get to Wheeler. And if they can't, at least get his pitch count up so they have to go to their bullpen. Yes, their bullpen shut them down last night but eventually they'll break. Whether Wheeler gets the loss or no decision, to get a W against Philadelphia when they had their ace pitcher starting should give them confidence. Series is tied and flight to Philadelphia should be good. Down 2-0, no idea what the morale would be on the flight. And if the series is tied, just get a win in Philadelphia and you'll get home field back. Winning 2 out of 3 in Philadelphia is possible as well. Actually I said forget about last night's game. I should say forget everything except 1 thing. No lead is safe/big enough as we've all seen in this year's playoffs.

Need to change the script. Can’t lose two at home again.

Dusty absolutely ****ed up not pulling Verlander. He didn’t even have anyone warming up after that awful 4th inning. That was a ****ing disaster move by Dusty.

That means you're committed to Machete at C for the whole game unless you're willing to give up the DH should the game go to extras.

The good news is that since Wheeler is going and the Phillies have the momentum, Big Papi most likely picks them to win, pretty much guaranteeing us a victory tonight.

Im not actually too worried about our pitchers outside of JV. Our bats just can’t get over the mental hurdle. The offense is the problem.

Mancini needs to be on the bench. He’d do better to step into the batters box ask for the ball and tag himself out. Saves time

yep.. I am. I have zero confidence in Diaz or Mancini. Maldy has been doing something at the plate.

I'd rather see what Hensley can do.

The problem is Diaz is the alternative.

Vasquez gives you a quality AB behind Tucker.
Maldy has held his own so far.
If you get late in the game, pinch hit Maldy for Hensley and move Vasquez to catcher.

He is their best pitcher no doubt.
Verlander does his best Jake Odorizzi impression in the postseason. That’s why that’s our toughest game.

Framber is very capable of 6 or 7 inning 1 run ball if his mental is good. I like his stuff against the Phillies as he can keep the ball on the ground.

If you told me Astros were going to 3 WS in 4 years, the chance of losing all 3 in a naive bayesian sense is 12.5%

If you adjust it for the fact the Astros were favored its like 5%

    ****in bayes man

He was trying to get on for the bases loaded scenario. Yes he swung at 3-0 and yes the attempt at getting hbp was weak as ****.

Agree, that’s why we Maldy catching him tonight.
Calm Framber down when he needs it.

Houston sports. I won’t watch the rest of the series. Too nervous. Every time I watch, they laid an egg.

Maybe our punishment for cheating is never winning another World Series in our lifetimes and just teasing us with a championship? Feel like a WS doormat at this point.

Today is a new day. 2017 required unthinkable heroics. Time to get this turned around.
