ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Blazers 10/28/2022

The first four games were really encouraging, despite the losses and mistakes. These last two games have just been draining to watch, even with the Utah comeback.

I want to see our guys getting better and playing together. Maybe Sengun being back will help with that, and maybe Green shooting better (or at least not whatever the **** today’s percentage was) will open up the floor some more too.

Love these young Rockets, but hate watching their growing pains

 

Now you see why you can't trade Gordon. Without him, we are losing 20+ points every game.

Jabari played 32 minutes. Half of the minutes he played C...And He got 2 ribaunds, 1 block. But yeah, blame Sengun for defence, who played 25 minutes 11 ribaunds 3 blocks.

 

At this point it just look like the guys are here to just show up and nothing else.

 

Team has gone downhill since that jg and bari “dustup” on the sideline in the 4th quarter against Utah

Too much TO but that was not the biggest problem. The biggest problem is, that JG and JS hit only 8 of their 32 Shoots. 25%...
If you think that the team took 94 shoots... 1/3 of the Team. You cant win a game if you try to score at so much bad positions. Not Nurkic and Simons won the game for Portland this two guys (JG and JS) lost this.
The Team must learn to pass better. They must play faster and change more positions. If you stay like a stone at your positions its easy to defend. I am frustraded about that i see every game the same mistakes! Simons and Nurkic hit 22 of their 37 positions.Thats 60%!
Its not the defense who lost this... Its easier to defend if you got a lead and be positive. Thats my opinion about the game and the season. You can win sometimes a game because you hit this bad positions but you will lose much more then winning a game.

 

FYI, we gotta deal with Ayton and Zubac soon. Gonna get ugly. Silas gotta go!!

 

This team has looked worse and worse as the games have gone on. It doesn't even seem like the young guys are developing at all. Sengun and Jalen look just like last year. KPj same. Not sure what growth we're looking for here. EGo doesn't seem to care at all. Jalen still hasn't learned to pump fake at the rim. KPj can't score unless he registers 3 turnovers first. Sengun is a post player that doesn't get the ball in the post. Jabari jumps like 35 year old Harden. Jaesean and Tari look like headless chickens. I get we're tanking for Wemby but this is just awful.

 

I mean of course Nix is worse but he only plays like 5 minutes so it's not as amplified. Jalen has been brutal. Always seems to have worse plus minus.

 

They both had no chance against Nurkic. Problematic for both, but more so for the guy who can only play 5.

The whole team sucked though

 

I stopped watching at the half. Now I refuse to watch the highlights from now on. I do enjoy watching other teams play

Nobody in Houston is getting better.

 

As Murat Murathanoglu stated recently, Sengun has steady statistics this year, 15 points-10 rebs/24 minutes or 18 points-12 rebs per 30, not jumping to 15 rebs one night and go down to 4 rebs next night.

Not bad for a disappointed 2nd year player but needs 6 assists per 30. Useless Hornacek gone, Hollins for defense, Silas is rubbish and Fettah seems ignorable. Who is going to help to this young stud I don't know.
