Like the title says, who would you have really liked to watch when they were in the prime?

For me, it's always been Wilt. I would have loved to see how he would stack up against the centers of today, and there really isn't a lot of film of Wilt's games from when he was in his prime.

Obviously, for me that also goes for Bill Russell.

Pistol Pete would have been fun to watch. All his moves and the ability to finish.

    Wilt or Oscar Robertson.

Pete Maravich would have been cool too.

    ;)

Hard for me to decide; besides the aforementioned (specifically Wilt, Cousy, Russell, Pete), I guess I'd like to see Kareem shooting his sky hook, Rick Barry shooting free throws, and Jordan dunking. Sorry to be so specific.

Suprised that no one has mentioned Dr. J.

Incredible basketball player who, when he was on the court, you could not take your eyes off of him for fear you would miss something great.

    Earl "The Goat" Manigault
    Len Bias
    Michael Ray Richardson

All players that I would have liked to see in the NBA and/or more of (shortened career).

    Yep!
Oscar Robertson, Maurice Stokes, Jack Twyman, Jerry Lucas, and Wayne Embry!
That would have been quite a team! :)

I cringe anytime I see a player go down like that (.i.e. watching a Jazz vs Suns game: Shawn Marion slammed his head sideways on the court; knocked out). That was scary!

Yup, I remember that. My first thought was definitely "please don't be another Mo."
