The gap between rich and poor will skyrocket in four years of billionaire tax cuts. Affordable healthcare won't exist, and Social Security and Medicare will be on the table to be stripped. Scary stuff. The coddling of the worst of the worse world leaders will resume, and gay marriages will be a thing of the past if they have their way. The coddling of right wing hate groups is another scary part of that equation.

Why would anyone approve of this? It blows my mind that people believe the Republican party cares about them. They don't. It blows my mind that the word Christians ever comes out of their greedy mouths. They could care less about anyone suffering. If you can't feed their dirty pockets, you aren't valuable to them.

It can't get much worse than that you would think, but it does. As if MTG and Boebert weren't bad enough, they add in H Walker and Oz. The party has turned into a bunch of incompetent hate stirrers, do nothings, celebrities, and yes men to the worst of the worst pulling their little strings.

Biden will still be president for the next 2 years. So, (1) sure he'll have a hard time getting judges appointed, and a SCOTUS appointment would probably touch off another crisis. (2) Biden would definitely veto a nationwide abortion ban, and Republicans wouldn't have the votes to override him. (3) Congressional investigations of Trump will end, but the DOJ and state (if they don't flip to Republican governors) criminal investigations would continue. And (4) cutting taxes is itself inflationary, but that doesn't mean they won't try it anyway - but I don't think Biden would sign on.

I'm not sure what'd happen with Ukraine. Republicans will either grouse about it to score cheap political points while letting Biden continue to do what needs to be done, or they will genuinely use the powers of the purse to cut off Ukrainian aid and let Putin win. I'm not sure how much of what they say about Ukraine not being a vital interest they really believe.

tracks with what we were hearing earlier about the amount of young people and women that were registering to vote post-Dobbs

Are they being accurately reflected in the polls? I guess we’ll find out

Is this good enough for democrats? I would think they need the youth vote to dramatically exceed 2018 to offset increased enthusiasm from republicans. Also we don’t know how 57% compares to 2018…but it seems a bit low.

That woman on ads saying how she made energy companies billions is the last person I would vote for. That, and her holding an assault rifle on the mail flyer doesn't help. I don't think some gun lobbyist making billionaires richer gives a damn about crime or the real issues Texans need, regardless of what she says.

A Republican house is very likely to at least attempt an impeachment against Biden. Even if the Republicans take over the Senate it's very doubtful such a move will succeed but the Republican caucus is very determined to take Biden down. McCarthy has already said that they will use the debt ceiling to block Democrats and will likely shut down the government.

She is good, she played the victim while calling somebody else out for blaming the victim.

    And sounded good doing it.

And this will ensure a democrat is elected in 2024 and the senate and house will probably be democratically controlled.

Republicans can't govern for **** and have nobody who can tell voters it's raining when they are pissing on them like Trump.

If they ramp up the gerrymandering they won't even have to get more votes to win.

Actually, if people go out and vote at a higher level gerrymandering will not work.

If the majority of people in Georgia vote for people like MTG and H Walker then they obviously don't care what kind of idiot is up there running as long as they are Trump people who will keep spreading the lies.

Just curious, what happens to trump if the gop runs the table, I am sure they would disband the 1.6 committee, but what about the Ga and DOJ cases?
