Nook, you haven't seen Jalen's defensive improvements? Streets saying Jalen was already a good iso defender last year and only getting better. Jalen being a bucket and already looking to defend is going to be a problem!
They always want to say Jalen is a bad defender uh oh... Back to hating Jalen's hair and marble head, lol
That stat is actually is surprising. I definitely saw improvement in his defense the first three games but he was pretty bad in the Jazz game.
Its hard to maintain being a high scorer while maintaining same level D, similar to when Leonard on Spurs was a beast defensively but when the scoring load amped up for him he wasn't the same but still solid being he came from that mindset but he dropped off because of his huge ppg climb and more energy was spent on carrying offense Biggest thing for green is just to show effort and just be solid while still having stamina for the other end
i dont think he was that bad. He had a couple bad possessions, but I don't think Jalen is a bad defender anymore. We will have to see at game 20, but I think Jalen is trying to erase all the slander people have for him. People are defaulting to him being a bad defender like they did Harden. People default to cade being a good defender and he has been not amazing on ball
The earlier Green can shed the bad defender label, the better. Defense is an incredibly difficult stat to quantify, and the media/teams tend to assess a player's defensive capabilities based on reputation more so than actual capabilities. If you were known as a good defender at some point in your career, you will always be thought of as a good defender (Kobe being a prime example of this, he did not deserve his last 3-4 all-defense awards). The same is said for bad defenders, if you are known as a bad defender, it takes year to shed the label.
Lol i read bochum as bodrum and asking myself what the hell is a german speaking afgani doing in bodrum.
I think that kind of stat doesn't show well how he gets lost on screens/switches or does on help defense, but yea he definitely puts in effort and improved.
During the war situations Afghans and Syrians were the main refugee groups going into Western Europe. Didn't realize Bodrum was a place, please carry on.
I know that i live in turkey buddy .Thing is bodrum is not a refugee city like izmir , istanbul, kilis ,urfa, antep
I do agree and apart from really lockdown defenders team success will be based on team defense. His speed will give him a boost there as will his smaller frame hinder him. Defense is one thing but the real reason they were bad last season was that they were all over the place, Silas can't be excused here. No real plan. Helter skelter ball.
The Game today shows i was right this team, coach and ,,franchise" player Green is not the player the Rockets fan think he is or can become one day. Green will be a solid starter on a contender team like Ariza who is a ok scorer if his shoot fall otherwise no impact on a game. Kpj is and will never be in his life a PG. No other team in this League would give him a minute to pkay only Rockets with their stupid front office. Playing Gordon in a rebuild team with such amount minutes show how bad this organisation is to hire this clueless coach. The only game plan is to play iso ball every game just rofl
He isn't Ariza, he is a lankier Donovan Mitchell or more efficient Zach Lavine. Given he is far from being a finished product, bruh. He is on a bad team, an extremely young team.
You are looking for a Lebron, MJ or even Luka type of talent and that is not going to happen here.... I haven't identified anyone like that in a while.....
If he can’t fix his defence, he will be a sixth man material. We will see if he can make himself an average defender at least.
