They play totally different games....surrounded by different talent. The Magic's starting 2 PF had 51 (29 & 22)..the TOTAL point production from the guard position was 16 pts !! That's includes one off the bench. Get the picture ? We are a GUARD oriented offense as opposed to their forward oriented offense. Banchero is a super player BUT, he's at his ceiling NOW. That is not remotely the case with Bari...not close. Yes, I would still take Bari. JMO.although, as pointed out Banchero was already gone when we picked.Oh...0-5 with 4 of 6 by double digits.

Banchero's ceiling is pretty much an all star and that is good, and Paolo would fit here to simply because he can be another ball handler himself.

Probably. They would just be playing rec league ball taking turns. Silas wouldn't be coaching just like he is doing now. Paolo maybe would have been perfect

Whiffing on Suggs is going to set them back a bit

Without any doubt. We're never going to get better with him. Never.

Lol, we didn't have the option to draft Banchero so what does it matter? And obviously 5 games in is maybe not the appropriate window.

Anybody here think we'd be much better with... Keegan Murray? Jaden Ivy?

    Yeah me neither.

Would you say our current roster and coaching is like the old Cuttino Mobley & Stevie Franchise days?

I don't mind having Jabari, his defense is one of the few bright spots tonight. I was surprised he only got 4 fouls the whole game considering how aggressive he was at the defensive end. Comparing Banchero to Smith is meaningless, they are different type of players.

@Clutch you’ve been awfully quiet about Banchero lately. Many of us told you Banchero was going to be a star, but you were so adamant Jabari was the better player.

Just admit you were wrong about Banchero.

The Rockets just recently played the youngest starting 5 EVER in a game. They are trying to lose. There is going to be 77 more games of saying everyone on this team sucks. From coach to player. If they wanted to win more this year they would have gotten some experience to mix in with this team. But alas

So you and everyone on here shout out the heavens. I'll save mine for next year when this team starts step 2 of their plan.

Why would anyone admit they were wrong about a rookie not even 5 games into the season?

How many people wanted Mobley over Green last year? I was one of them in fact...and now I Admit I was completely wrong and Green looks to be the player with the much higher upside although Mobley came into the NBA and had an immediate positive impact on his team.

The most difficult question in the NBA right now is this -

Who is the a worse coach, Stephen SIlas or Steve Nash?

I am having trouble answering this.

Yeah, one is a future superstar, the other one is a role player.

Quite a knee jerk reactions for a guy on a 0-5 team.

I'm more down on this team after tonight than after a long time. I don't know why, but it felt more hopeful when we had Wall and Cousins and were still fighting with flashes here and there while losing game after game.

We have an offense right now that is broken. Halfcourt offense is atrocious. KPJ's point guard play is unwatchable. Green gets iced out of the offense for extended stretches and he struggles to counter aggressive defenders. Gordon has quit trying on defense. There is no motion, no ball movement, just isos with half-hearted screens. Every limitation of every player is glaring at all times, which is what a bad coach does...doesn't put players in position to use their strengths and lays all their weaknesses bare.

I used to think Silas was the right coach for player development but that he might not be the right coach to take us to the playoffs in a season or two. Now, I feel his coaching is hurting the young players and that we might be better served promoting up Abdelfattah to take over player development and focus on the young guys the rest of the season. Silas's culture is too lax, his offense stale, his defense non-existent, and rotations stubbornly ridiculous.

I know that's a lot to say after game 5, but we're in the part of the season where the team is still supposed to be competing, where you haven't suffered a blowout and seen player after player score with minimal resistance. This team is broken right now in so many ways.
