Watched this and it’s pure 1990’s big budget action cheese. If you mixed Last Action Hero, Robocop and TMNT you would get this movie. Come to think of it, it’s the perfect @tinman movie. I liked it. It’s not good but I enjoyed it.
I just simply will not abide the besmirching of Robocop. Samaritan was, as you said, a fine time-filler of an action movie.
Here are the two comparisons I drew to Robocop: Rogues gallery villains (they all had their own unique character) from the villain group. They even had a scene where they execute a cop. Depressed, industrial city backdrop. Yes, you could say a dozen other movies were like this but it really struck me how it was similar to Robocop TMNT: Cheesy writing Last Action Hero Hero-worshipping kid. Granted, this one was far more likeable than the terrible kid in LAH And overall, it was a very 90's-esque cheeseball action flick, that Stallone or Arnold would have starred in.
