Very true. If Lucas goes Silas has to behave more rationally. It seems that they are both motivating each other "How great KPJ is" rhetoric.
This is really Monte Ellis and Stephen Curry situation. Some terrible thing will happen before KPJ gets traded or Released. Jalen Green is the Franchise Player and here is KP taking Iso shots and making terrible ally oops passes to Bruno. Alperen Sengun is the Best Passer on the team and the Best Hustle Guy, I know he doesn't have foot speed but he plays really hard. At some point KP should be a bench player, Tari Eason, Alperen Sengun should be Starting over Terrible Defender and Turnover Eric Gordon and Undersized Bruno Fernando.
Lucas is there to guide the guards, and I do not think he has a say in who walks thru that door, surely not when KPJ was acquired.
Love the thread. I guess we will have so many excuses by all star break that the repertoire will need to get creative...
We are talking the same thing. Lucas telling Silas "How great KPJ is" and Silas the inexperienced belives that. If there was a proper person there he would immediately would see the shortcomings of KPJ, move him to 3 and employ a real PG. Lucas is also big part of this shortsightedness.
I would respect him more if he directed the team to the right direction. Well done for saving the career of problem kid (KPJ) but what about destroying Houston future on behalf of a journeyman? I am not against KPJ but it is very certain that he woud be more successful in SF position. Houston project collapse due to KPJ+Lucas collaboration. What a waste.Rockets is in a position of "grab the opportunity". With KPJ at PG position Rockets cannnot rise to the occasion.
I think people aren't realizing he is just a dude who helps out, the assistant title is just an empty one. I mean fans like to moan about anything. Not saying it about you. I think KPJ's contract said it all, he will be here for one or two years and will be out or benched.. I wouldn't worry about this, too much in the real world to worry over tbh. I really hope that Silas is let go in the offseason for everyone's sake.
I am not moaning and would like to see Lucas and KPJ in the team-adjusted way- Just saying what it seems wrong and recommending in a way to repair the faulty part (deformation professionelle may be). Anyway, opinion is cheap, facts&figures are hard/expensive. Mine is an opinion.Hope someone explains better with facts&figures.
Lucas doesn't call the plays and he's not involved in the rotations either. That's all on Silas. I want to start Sengun now. It was okay to start Garuba for the matchup vs Giannis.
Garuba-Giannis? It was Garuba vs Lopez, Jabari vs Giannis. Garuba is too small for both players plus quite inexperienced. Did you see Alpi's dunk over Giannis+Portis (both were looking for their lost coins afterwards) and flying rebound later on? Alpi was the correct match in a normal universe but Silas's paranormal world is different.
I don't think we're winning against the Jazz I'm scared for Silas because it's looking like an 0-8, or maybe even 0-10 start.
“He came to coach Harden/Westbrook; “left with” Wood/Wall/Oladipo & Green/Porter/Sengun/Smith” “Covid” “Injuries” “Young team” “Rockets set him up to fail/be bad” Silas couldn’t/didn’t run his “real” playbook “Tired” “Tough schedule” “Tanking” is the great deodorant. Just excuse anything & everything away by “Yeah, but we’re tanking.”
