Someone once explained to me on this forum - this is a 'players' league' and coaching not a critical element to win a game, players does…then just look at how spurs performed tonight, they pull away from filthydophia (still a contender in the est) , that's a great boost to their kids confidence for sure.
Though 76ers > spurs, but, Great job, pop.
Rockets definitely got more talent in comparison with spurs, that's why i have a great confidence in our kids, but there is a precondition there - Coach does Coach things, Stop wasting our kids' time n talent.

Thats what SIlas defenders said all last year. Thats what Nash defenders say too. "Coaches dont matter" is all they have left to defend them.

He has no self awareness and thinks he’s better than he actually is. He needs to understand he’s not on the same level as Jalen and take a backseat. I want Jalen to have more touches.

The reality is it all depends KPJ and Nix’ s willingness because ball in their hands. Silas did nothing except clapping his hands.

Problem tonight wasn't that Green wasn't getting by his man. He was. Problem was that even if he did, he ran into a combination of Portis, Ibaka, Giannis, and Lopez. You're not going to jump over them and score. He got to the line a few times with creative finishes, but it's really tough to go up against that crowd and score at the basket. The only way to make the bigs honest is to punish the Bucks for playing so many of them at once by knocking down threes, but we were awful from deep for most of the night. We had a few stretches where we cut the lead but then had that momentum stopped by a bad turnover, terrible shot attempt, or bad play.

    It’s same in Silas eyes.
    His work is easy.

The new girl in studio with Calvin is painfully bad. Fumbling words and random moments of silence not knowing what to say.

Right now the half court offense is crunched up. Defenders are crowding the mid range and paint area which results in situations where Green is not at his full or 3/4ths gather speed for explosive finishing. Look at most of the explosive finishes by Morant. A lot of them start from those very high screen set by Adams multiple feet beyond the 3pt line where Morant has the space to get to near or at top speed. Green would have had better opportunities around the rim if he can get to his 3rd or 4th gear of speed. But with how crowded and compact the offense is Green doesn't have the space to get to that speed where he can do spectacular things

That’s why people always say fire Silas.

The offense should be like this:
Throw the ball to green and let him do his work or
Throw the ball to Sengun at the low post and let him do his work (Post up or Pass the ball to the shooter)

    Instead,
    Now our offense is
KPJ dribbles 14 seconds every possession and end up a difficult shot or turnover.

I said it again and again, Gordon saved a lot of bad possessions in the preseason. Today is just showing how bad our offense is without Gordon covering KPJ's issue.

Well lets see the entire offense is built around him and they have made both jalen and sengun take backseats to him. Clearly Jabari plays better with Sengun than bruno they dont care because KPJ plays better with Bruno. So they have basically let him go on thinking that he is the star and this is his team.

Again, stopping him and not looking like a sheet of paper….there’s levels.
Didn’t expect him to stop Giannis. Didn’t have any expectations.

Just pointing out what happened and what he needs to do better moving forward. This isn’t and indictment of Jabari. He has some things he needs to work on.

You don’t have to come to his defense. He’ll be ok.

It can be fixed by head coach.

Nobody play this stupid ball under coached by Gregg Popovich. You will get benched immediately if you playing like that.

KPJ is forming bad habits. He didn’t play like this when he came to Rockets. The bad thing is nobody telling him to change.

The only reasonable explanation is those habits are encouraged by the coaching staff.

Confidence matters…rebuilding a team is a whole process of boosting kids confidence game by game, bit by bit, ya could hardly make it w/o clear games plan, schemes (for your young cores), daily scrimmages on purpose, right rotations, timely timeouts n so on…
    Things ain't gonna happen spontaneously.

Kids knows nothing, but adult in the room does.

I believe, for pop, losing games is sometimes kinda tactic for tutoring as well as guiding his players, letting them feel eager to win games, fighting for their dignity, but never a strategy.
dunt let losing becomes sorta habit, play-in or tanking, let them learn to fight not learn to lose.

Let KPJ grow in to the role, it takes time and patience and he hasn't had that many turnovers compared to last season. Just the 2 today. Have some patience, people want the finished product now and it will take time. We are far better now than this time last year.

It already takes a season to grow as PG and nothing has changed. He is just not PG material.
