David Aldridge reported this much in his chat Thursday afternoon. http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=80301 He also stated that he thought Fisher or Snow would be the PG for the Rockets. If we get Snow, I hope it will be for the TE.
Realistically i hope the TE goes to a point guard like snow, but he has a bad contract, but if we need a pg it cant be helped. With the MLE We could hopefully get Thomas, tho its a risk since he has been prone to injuries. With the going rate of bigmen Etan Thomas could be expensive and could become a cap albatross if he becomes a bust. I doubt we are going to find a decent PF/C with a the TE because nobody would want to give one up for just getting rid of salary.
Snow has a Horrible contract. Yuck.. Anyhow, with Skinner gone, I wanna see the Rox go after Keon Clark. I mean Etan Thomas is not a realistic Option@this Point in time.
Yeah snows contract is pretty horrible and I probably wouldnt want him anyway, but you never know what CD could do. With Phoenix, Denver and Utah poised to make big offseason acquisitions the competition is going to be extremely tough next season. I mean look what Utahs lineup next year could be: Okur Boozer AK47 Giricek Arroyo We could have a tough time making it to the 8th seed next year. With so many damn good PFs in the west we could get burned many times a year with howard and MoT mannig the 4 spot. We got the Lakers(shaq aint goin nowhere), Twolves, Mavs, Kings, Spurs, Memphis, Nuggets, Suns, Utah, Portland, NO. Its not time to panic but the west is getting tougher quick.
At this point we got a few other Options left, i dont see the need for snow at this point in time.. Hudson, Fisher Damon jones and maybe Van exel are Still there for the Taking. There all better then Snow Anyway.....Erick must be considerd as the last Option.
Tough time making it to the 8th seed? It's all determined on the court, but if you're going to judge teams on paper, then a potential (Utah's lineup is also potential because we don't know if the Cavs will retain Boozer) lineup of: Howard/Taylor Jackson/Nachbar Yao/Battie McGrady/Piatkowski Barry/Lue looks better than any in the West. I'm not saying they're better than the Spurs or Kings, but if you're just going to post a lineup, then I'll stack ours against any in basketball. And what's the big fuss over Utah? Okur is absolute garbage and Boozer is vastly overrated. They will do well in Utah but that is simply because everyone does - Jerry Sloan is the best coach in the NBA.
