I’m fine starting Mancini at DH today. The guy is obviously a proven big league hitter. We’re not really getting any production from DH right now anyway.

I know this is just my opinion but I truly believe the routine and everyday playing time switch from Baltimore to Houston messed with his rhythm. Think about it, the guy goes from an every day starter putting up solid numbers for Baltimore and he changes teams, cities, and clubhouses to basically a bench player.

I’d give him at least one game, you never know when magic could strike. MLB postseason is a crazy place.

I feel the same. Book on Diaz right now is slider away while he hunts fastballs continuously without making adjustments.

Keeps getting out on his front foot and slapping the ball in the air.

Yeah, I know it probably goes against every unspoken rule in the "old school baseball rules" book, but if you look at the four DH candidates, Hensley was clearly hitting the best of the four at the end of the season.

I know he's a rookie, but the Astros DH production has been atrocious so far in the playoffs. They don't need a DH to come in and hit homers every at bat, but they need someone who can come in, not be an automatic out, have solid at bats and get on base every once in a while. That's Hensley. I'm sick of watching Diaz swing at every single pitch and Mancini's inevitable ground ball outs. Give us someone who isn't a black hole in the lineup.

I thought the ump sucked, but the rating he was given is not too bad

One thing I do like about Hensley is that he really works at bats which is something we need.

He definitely seemed calm and comfortable in his AB's in the ALDS which was great to see. I would give him a shot but he is also likely our best PH at the moment that I trust the most to at least put a good AB together. I really hope one of Mancini, Diaz, Hensely steps up to take the DH role.

Whoever it is, they need to do this. Tired of seeing opposing pitchers barely pitching and getting outs. So many first pitch outs.

This is a bit surprising. Should be a beautiful night though.

I think it's ironic that other than Yordan, all the heroes so far are people we had question marks about from an offensive standpoint.

    Pena
    Maldy
    Yuli
    Chas

Maybe not Maldy but Vasquez hasn't been better.

I wouldn’t touch Altuve. You keep him there no matter what. He will work out of it.

I remember everyone screaming to move Springer out of the lead off spot and we know how that turned out.

I don't care about working counts against Taillon. Prefer he pitch as long as he wants. Severino will likely have a high pitch count on his own. But we do need to work some counts against Cole.

This is surprising. I felt like he was calling everything down and away as a strike last night.
