Overall he looked fine to me. A couple more made 3's and he would have had an efficient 20+ point night. His defense was very bad but that's expected, that'll likely improve over the season.

His problem remains the fact that he just isn't very athletic and doesn't move very well. Hopefully the jumper becomes lethal.

If he hits 35% from 3 last night, which he can do in his sleep, he finishes with 23 pts. Bad shooting night for everyone except KPJ on uncontested threes.

Huh???? Bro if Jabari is unathletic and doesnt move well he wouldnt be a consensus top 3 pick.

What I can see from Jabari is he is a preparation/hard working guy rather than an insanely talented guy. Some people like Banchero immediately perform at a high level on the big stage. He blew up in MM, blew up in SL, and blew up his first real game. Others like Jabari take time to adapt so not surprised he had a bad gsme cuz its the same thing in MM and in SL. But Jabari is a hard worker and takes people's criticism really seriously. He gonna work on his shots and work in the gym till he becomes comfortable like what he did after SL.

The more I watch, the more I think KPJ should be 6th man and much more on the receiving end of passes, rather than the main ball handler.

He will remain the pg until we have another person who can handle the ball. it seems like every guard we have in the rotation are just shooting guards, KPJ just happens to be the one that has the best ball handling.

I'm still a strong believer KPJ would be a great 6th man. He can pretty much score whenever he wants and if our offense is struggling, insert him and just get buckets.

    This.

My biggest negative was that he started showing some bad body language when he did not get a pass, I am hoping he does not think he should be the 1st or 2nd option at this point just because he was the 3rd pick.

Overall he had a good game but he did nothing Tari can't do and Tari can do more at this point, going to be real interesting seeing what the next 2 picks do over their careers.

Especially since Gordon is starting and Mathews is playing a lot, that could be Ivey.

Who the hell gave Mathew the green light and why is he playing over Christopher?

Which tells me you don't know what you are looking at.

    Really not surprised.

    "This."

You guys are out here talking basketball and making sense here. Game 1 of a likely 1000+ game career, "he needs to make his open shots". This is the bball facts & strategy we need. I humbly request more of these insights.

    Thanx

That's what this place used to be about for the most part, but now it does not seem you can't discuss players in totality, either you are a hater or a fanboy no in between.
