maybe the wording off on what I’m saying. More so 3 in a row on the road. Instead of just 2 then at least come back home to have the chance to take back home field.
2-3-2 makes more sense in baseball where these massive teams normally play 3 or 4 game series all season long. It also minimizes the travel day issues.
I just don't think that the HFA advantage is that big an advantage late in the playoffs against good experienced teams early in the series, because It hard to beat a good team 3 games in row. In a 1 game winner-take all game 7, or if it is 2-2 going to game 5, sure. But before, that not as much. Plus in your scenario, the Yankees would be beating the Astros 4 games in a row. That just seem incredibly unlikely.
How on earth does this make me a closet Yankees fan. They are the opponent. Obviously to try to understand what they would do or what would benefit them in order to think how best to counter and prepare for it should happen. This is just thinking strategically.
Peña and Chaz put up some elite ABs today. Even when they didn’t get hits, their swing and take decisions showed major growth on a big stage. Granted Taillon isn’t elite, but still very nice ABs
He actually is. And I love Big Papi but that dude is totally useless, he's just a clown. He's the equivalent of Terry Bradshaw on the NFL analyst show.
Cause that makes no sense. You don’t thrust your best pitcher on short rest just because and hope he makes it to game 7 for a start on full rest. And he threw 110 pitches. Manager should be fired in the spot if that ever happened and we already know Cole isn’t starting tomorrow
Yeah if you lose a game at home in the first 2 games, you lose home field advantage. Even if the format was 2-2-1-1-1. Y'all need to start making some sense here.
I mentioned in another post my wording was off. I meant the three in a row at home was the issue I didn’t like. In my initial post I didn’t make that very clear. More of a momentum thing with the three in a row. Just never personally liked that.
Most consecutive strikeouts in a post season game 8 Verlander 6 Kershaw 5 Scherzer 5 C. Lee 5 R. Johnson 5 Gibson The man continues to confound at age 39.
