So two Astros fans on the Yankees with Carpenter and Taillon. Awesome. Follow the lead of Ryan Tepera.

Dusty got the talking points wrong. That would be a reason to pitch him in game 3 since that pitcher would be on short rest in game 7.

I can't listen to Astros fans and media right now. There is way too much confidence out there.

I am the opposite, I always assume the worst and think we will lose every playoff series. I never, ever, feel confident about a playoff series.

I think beyond the obvious worry. There is another layer becuase we would have to listen to media and insufferable Yankee fans if they win etc. Then they go and tie everything back to 2017.

not worried. This is playoff baseball, just do what you normally do and the rest takes care of itself. Players rise up for big games. All the teams left are good obviously, but can’t be scared.

I’m worried about Altuve. Stros need his bat.

    The Saga of BS continues

Every opponent who beats the Astros suddenly becomes "un-hot" the following season(s)

2018 - Boston can't make the playoffs afterwards
2019 - Nationals can't make the playoffs afterwards
2020 - Rays' seasonal outcome has gotten progressively worse
    2021 - Braves can't win a playoff series

There are more factors true, but the fact still remains: Stros losses are lighting-in-the-bucket and curse-type

    BS Saga

    Win another championship please

And please please. ... no catastrophic hurricane

Altuve was just wildin' out at the plate on purpose to get Yuli and Jeremy going. It's true leadership when you think about it.

Got my tickets to game 6. Ready for some ball!

    Nervous as F right now.
Need to see Verlander shove on our way to a 5-2 victory.

    So....Valdez game 5, Verlander game 6, (if) game 7 garcia/urquidy? Lol

If people are nervous about Verlander....just wait till after 1st inning.

Disappointing that Meyers was left off the roster and Mancini was left on. Meyers bat has some value. Mancini has shown none. Who's bat would you add to play DH?

Some of Yankees' 2nd half collapse involves DNPs from Carpenter and Chapman

One of those two are now reinitiated

Mancini has been a solid bat for his career but he is so lost that I don’t know if he’ll ever find his way back.

Altuve was starting to make solid contact.
Mancini is still swatting flies, figure to need his bat at some point.

-Disappointed Dubon made it and not Meyers, but like others, not surprised. Dubon does bring more defensive versatility since he can cover the IF as well, but he is just so bad defensively (and with the bat), that not sure if it matters much.
-Martinez over Smith makes sense, since Yankees are a right handed heavy lineup.
-I think the tough series against the Mariners was perfect to get our guys in post-season mode, and it was still a sweep, which also brings confidence.

Prediction: Astros in 6, but maybe 5, and could even sweep. But it's baseball, and anything can happen...

(I really wish TK and Blum were calling these games)
