Well, he was born in NY and his mom is Aussie, I don't know about his dad though. Anyways, he moved to Australia when he was young and grew up there. He went to college at the University of New South Wales and was roommates with Geoffrey Rush according to IMDB. Did you see Mad Max or the Road Warrior? He still has his accent in those movies.
Crowe is from NZ....but Im pretty sure he'd class himself as an Aussie these days. He lives here in Australia on the NSW central Coast. He is also very heavily involved in the NRL competition over here with South Sydney and actually set up a big Sevens competition near where he lives.

Speaking of Australia, my kids have gotten into Bluey. I'm glad. It's gotta be the best kids show out there. One thing I really appreciate is that the dad isn't a dumb**** oaf like in Peppa Pig. Would recommend.
Anybody send the show Mr InBetween? That’s the most Aussie show I’ve seen and the main actor Scott Ryan is great. Just captures the total deadpan vibe of a lot of Aussies.
