Draymond would be fantastic on the court for this team and would fit perfectly with smith. That's not the issue. There are times were doing what's right is more important then doing what's easy.

If KPJ and Jalen look like All-Stars this year and Jabari looks like he'd be comfortable moving to the 5, then I'd think this is something worth at least considering. If not, it's virtually pointless. I just don't see his value on a team that isn't ready to contend. And I damn sure don't want to see Jabari losing minutes to Draymond.

Last time team chaos made a decision, we signed Westbrick. So it's a no for me.

doubt Jabari will ever play C for more than a few minutes or in “death lineups”

I’d rather throw a bag at Khris Middleton than Draymond Green if we’re going after aging players

Because the Warriors won't extend him and have effectively closed the door by signing Poole and Wiggins and he can get way more and more years on the open market.

Have you seen the remaining FA for next year now that Jokic and Wiggins have resigned? Middleton is basically the best remaining option especially given our need to upgrade at SF.

Then sign nobody, can’t waste 35 mil a year. Use the space to take on bad money for assets

Middleton will get a near max extension from Milwaukee and he hasn't burned any bridges by superman punching teammates on video over their contract extension.

He's much less likely to be available.

The Bucks are heading towards Warrior cap issues which they may not be willing to deal with if they lose again.

That guy is just injured so frequently. But honestly, I'm not that interested in giving an aging Draymond Green max dollars.

Warriors are in another dimension of Luxury Tax due to repeater issues

    $170m in 21-22
    $268m in 22-23
$500m+ in 23-24 with Draymond at opt in rate

The Middleton resign options are more varied - I think only the biggest puts them into LT territory given they only have money committed to Giannis and Holiday and plus they could probably move Holiday if they had to.

I don't see the Warriors doing the same for Draymond at all.

They all suck no need to waste money on overpaid FAs. Upgrade at SF? Who you think is available who will be better than Tari Eason in 2023? Middleton gonna be old by then I'd rsther take the chance on Eason as the starter.

he can get more years and this more guaranteed money but more per year? He’s uniquely valuable to GSW. He’s less valuable to other teams. I have no idea how valuable he’d be to the rockets for example.

sure one might say why would t you give Draymond $25+ per year if you’re giving KPJ $15+ cause of all Draymond has accomplished. But when forced to be in any offensive role other than on that team when it’s good, he’s looked really bad. And he’s not what he was defensively and getting older.

I wouldn’t be interested but guess I can see him opting out given the market.
