Hot take after one game: Philly is going to be trash at needing to come back from behind. Offense looks anemic as hell. I get that they need more chemistry with each other, but the bench looks terrible.
Never been a fan of Hardens Iso centric ame. Never was a fan of Harden's iso offense. It's difficult for teammates like Maxey, Embid, and Tobias to get a flow with Harden dribbling the air out of the ball. Zero cuts, lack of ball movement, and low energy. Watching him dribbling almost zaps a little effort out of you knowing it will happen possession after possession all game while you wait in the corner or post area with a defender smothered all over you. It also allows the other team to sit down on defense unlike a Golden State offense, Spurs, or something similar to how we looked this preseason. Free flowing complex offenses keeps defenses on their heels and confused. Unfortunately, I think Morey and Harden run Embid out of town. Harden doesn't seem to mesh with anyone he ever plays with since becoming a star.
Harden still can’t get to the rim, but he looks a lot better than last year he made at least 3 dudes touch earth on a crossover tonight
its a classic Morey movie. Im sure philly will be fine if Harden returns too his MVP form.. or just give the ball to maxey.
